Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today I’d like to focus on one of my own weak spots when it comes to stories, and that is friendship. Because as much as I love a good romance, I think it’s equally important for a story to have great, epic friendships.

Great friendships can carry a story and warm the heart just as well, if not more so than a romance can. They are so important and usually books that feature friendships turn out to be some of my all time favorites. So that’s why today’s post features some of my favorite fictional BFF’s and friend groups. Let me know if you have any other recommendation for books featuring friendships!

Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is all around the theme ‘Back To School’. And since I am currently still in love with the Netflix adaptation of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, I figured I would list some of the other books I love featuring romances set in high school or college. So if you need a romance as cute as Lara Jean and Peter K.’s, and love the nostalgia of a school setting, why don’t you give one of the following a try?

Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda {Quote It Wednesday}

Quote It Wednesday - Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda

Hi everybody and welcome to a new Quote It Wednesday!

Today’s quote is in honor of Pride Month and one of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite LGBTQIA+ themed books: Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda.

I love this quote for the simple truth it holds. Why is straight the default? Why do we always assume everyone we meet is straight until proven otherwise? Why shouldn’t straight people have to come out too? Sexuality should indeed not just be assumed. There should not be a default.

Either way, I adore this book and you should definitely read it. And watch the movie. Because there is an awesome fantasy sequence where straight kids come out as straight to their parents and it is HILARIOUS. (you can even already see it in the trailer)

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS QUOTE?
Do you have any more lgbtqia+ books and quote suggestions for me?

Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today is all about those books we could re-read forever. I don’t re-read a lot (though it’s my goal to do this more), but when I do re-read, I usually go for one of these two categories:

  1. The feel-good contemporary romances. The books that make me smile. The books that make me swoon. The books that make me feel good and always manage to cheer me up, no matter what.
  2. The epic fantasy worlds I adore. For when I really want to escape reality and just live in another world for a while. For when I want to help fight dragons, rebel against evil overlords, go on dangerous heists or save the world, all from the safety and comfort of my couch.

Taking both categories into account, these are the books you’ll most likely find me re-reading:

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

In honor of Thanksgiving week in the US, today is all about being thankful. More specifically, what books we are thankful for.

Now, I’m thankful for a lot of books. For lots of reasons. So narrowing this down was… tough. I decided to split it into categories as to why I am thankful for a book in particular, which came a little easier for me. But I would just like to note that some of these books definitely fit into more than one categorie. And I am probably forgetting a lot of books as well. But anyway, here it goes!

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today is all about book titles. I can imagine that coming up with a great, unique title for a book is one of the hardest things out there. Because, no matter how much I love those titles with kings, queens, princes or princesses in them, they’re not exactly inspired either. But once in a while, there are books out there where the title alone draws you in. No matter the cover or the content. Sometimes that bookish love at first sight happens purely based on the title.

That’s what happened with me and the following books!

Ten Feel-Good YA Contemporaries To Read In One Sitting {Top Ten Tuesday}

170321 Feel-Good One-Sitting Reads

Hi guys, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today’s all about books to read in one sitting.

Now, when I think about one-sitting reads, I think about feel-good YA contemporaries.

Because as much as I love fantasy, I usually try to pace myself a bit more while reading it and make it last. Contemporaries, on the other hand, depend on the subject matter. Heavy, dark contemporaries dealing with tough subjects take more time to read. Because they’re tough and I need time to arm my heart.

But fluffy, adorable, feel-good contemporaries? I INHALE READ THEM. So yes, the books most likely to be read in one sitting by me are the feel-good contemporaries. These are perfect reads for a self-care day. Get a blanket, snacks, drinks and anything else important within arms’ reach, settle in, and GO!
