Kdrama Review: Crash Landing On You {Something Different Sunday}

Kdrama Review Crash Landing On You

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Something Different Sunday, on which I talk about… well something different from books.

Today I want to talk about a kdrama I recently watched on Netflix, called Crash Landing On You. I fell in love with kdramas a few years ago, and though I haven’t watched a lot lately, I needed some quality distraction given our current situation and decided to start Crash Landing On You. Just one episode in and I was HOOKED. I love this drama so much that I think it may be my second all-time favorite (sorry, nothing is beating Romance is a Bonus Book just yet). So if you’re new to kdramas, or just wondering whether or not you want to give this drama a try, I’m happy to tell you my thoughts on it!

Hey everybody! Is it still ok to post 2019 lists? Because I just couldn’t – seriously COULD NOT – go a year without a top ten songs list. So even though it is already halfway through January and we should really be looking forward, let’s look back together one more time, because I have a need to talk about music!

In no particular order – because how could I? – and also just one song per artist – can’t have my list be almost exclusively Dreamcatcher and One OK Rock, now can I? – I present to you my top ten favorite songs of 2019!

Also, yes I know it’s Saturday and not Sunday, but I have something special planned for tomorrow, so for once we have a Something Different Sunday on a Saturday šŸ˜‰

The Therapists Pumping Through My Speakers {Something Different Sunday}

The Therapists Pumping Through My Speakers

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Something Different Sunday, in which I talk about something different from books. And since it’s been a while since I talked about music (not counting my monthly wrap-up of course) I wanted to take this moment to talk about some of the bands and artists that are the most near and dear to my heart.

I’ve always loved music and its’ power to affect our emotions. And some bands have had an even bigger power than most. Some bands are so ingrained on my heart, because their music was there for me at the exact right moment. It was there to get me through something, helped me deal with something or was just helpful in keeping me going and not giving up. Though some I just relate to a certain period of life, for others I can still pinpoint exactly what it was they helped me with.

So today I’m getting a bit more personal and I present to you, in chronological order, the therapists pumping through my speakers (bonus points if you can guess which band these lyrics belong to):

When The Bass Drops It’s Another Banger — My Top 20 Favorite Songs Of 2018 {Something Different Sunday}

My Top 20 Favorite Songs of 201830

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new edition of Something Different Sunday, where I talk about something different than books!

Today, I want to talk about my favorite songs of 2018. I even put them in a handy top 20 list, counting down from 20 to number one, because I felt like it…

Now, a little disclaimer first. If you’ve been following my blog for a while you will know that A) I’ve always loved music and have a very wide taste in music, ranging from musicals and pop to heavy rock and metal and pretty much any genre you can imagine and B) I have however listened to little else but k-pop for the last year or two. This list below represents my tastes of 2018 and as such, has quite a lot of k-pop in it, but not only k-pop. I think it’s still a pretty varied list, though my love of rock feels pretty absent. So in 2019 I’m looking to expand a bit more again and actively try to discover some new rock, punk and metal artists to love, though it’s safe to say k-pop also has a permanent spot in my heart and playlist in the future.

Also, I tried not to have any double artists in this list (unless it’s a collaboration), because if I didn’t have this rule, there would be songs by like 3-4 artists because I’m just a little obsessive like that šŸ™‚

Without further ado, here’s my top twenty 2018 songs!

My Favorite K-Pop Choreo’s {Something Different Sunday}

Favorite K-Pop Choreos

Hi everybody and welcome to a brand new Something Different Sunday, where I talk about something different than books šŸ™‚

Today I’d like to talk about two things I love, namely dance and music. I’ve been in a dance club since I was a little kid and I’ve always loved music of all genres. But it was especially when I discovered the wonderful world of k-pop that those two aspects just seemed to come together in the most wonderful way. Because here is an entireĀ world of music that puts a major focus on dance. There are intricate choreographies everywhere, a lot of k-pop idols are amazing dancers and best of all, they even post all of their choreo’s on the big old Youtube.

So basically, I am in heaven. And really, what better way to share the love than to write a blog post about some of my favourite choreo’s so far? Here we go!

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Something Different Sunday! Last week, I talked about the songs that dominated my 2017 playlist and included a whole buch of songs. But if there’s one thing I’ll remember about 2017 musically, it’s my growing love and adoration for k-pop. So I figured I could do another music themed post, focusing solely on k-pop and more specifically, my favorite 2017 releases.

Now, I’m still a relatively new fan and there are sooo many bands and artists out there that I can’t even begin to get to know. So I’m always open to new k-pop recommendations! But in the meantime, here are mine:

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new edition of Something Different Sunday, where I talk about something different than books!

One thing I love about the end of the year? Making lists. Now, any time’s a good time to make lists, but there’s something about looking back at a year andĀ rememberingĀ favorites throughout that time period that I just love. And seeing as there’ll be plenty of book related end-of-year lists, I’m taking the opportunity here to talk about my favorite songs of the year!

To help me do this, I’m going for a sort of chronological order, so from my top songs during the beginning of 2017 until now. Here we go!

Ten Reasons Why I Fell In Love With K-Pop Boyband BTS

Hi everybody and welcome to a new Something Different Sunday, where I talk about… well, something different than books.

If you’ve been following my blog, you probably already know I love music. Music of soo many different genres. You’ll probably also already know that I recently discovered K-Pop and to my surprise, fell in love with the genre. I already talked a bit about K-Pop in general in previous editions of Something Different Sundays, but this time I wanted to go a little deeper into my love for one band in particular: BTS.
