Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s topic is about the books we wish we had read as a kid and I’m twisting it just a teensy bit to books I wish I had read as a teen. Because I often think with a lot of YA and adult books I read nowadays that I WISH I HAD READ THIS EARLIER. Because books can teach us so many things, and a lot of those things would have been nice to know about earlier. Or would have been crucial in my development in that time period. Or I feel should just be mandatory reading for all teens. So here are a few of the books I wish I had read as a teen and the lessons they could have taught me:

Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! That’s right, Halloween is upon as again tomorrow and being as it’s my favorite holiday (and my birthday, so you can say I was born to be a Halloween fan, haha) it deserves to be celebrated!

I usually love spending this day by watching scary movies, reading books featuring supernatural creatures AND listening to my Halloween playlist. So since I already focused on the first two in previous Halloween posts, for today’s post I decided to share ten of my favorite Halloween songs.

I tried to list some of the lesser known songs and a mix of genres, so I hope you’ll discover some new additions to your own playlists! Happy listening and happy Halloween everybody!

Ten Locations Books Helped Put On My Travel Bucketlist {Top Ten Tuesday}

Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

I’ve always loved travelling. When I was little, it was my dream to see the world. And now I am a part of that adult world, it is still my dream, except now I’m also more aware of the difficulties coming with that dream. Such as money and time. Though I consider myself lucky and have been able to travel to some nice locations already, there are still sooo many travel destinations I want to get to. Luckily there are books, which help you travel the world from the comfort of your couch. And sometimes, they even fire up that travelbug inside of you.

These are ten travel destinations that books helped put on my travel bucketlist (or at least confirmed their spot on my bucketlist even further). For those of you who actually have the opportunity of visiting these places, I suggest to always be covered with expat insurance, we know traveling is fun but it is always better to take precautions.

Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today is all about those books we could re-read forever. I don’t re-read a lot (though it’s my goal to do this more), but when I do re-read, I usually go for one of these two categories:

  1. The feel-good contemporary romances. The books that make me smile. The books that make me swoon. The books that make me feel good and always manage to cheer me up, no matter what.
  2. The epic fantasy worlds I adore. For when I really want to escape reality and just live in another world for a while. For when I want to help fight dragons, rebel against evil overlords, go on dangerous heists or save the world, all from the safety and comfort of my couch.

Taking both categories into account, these are the books you’ll most likely find me re-reading:

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

One of the (many) joys of reading is being able to discover so many beautiful new places, without even having to set a foot outside the door. However, sometimes the places just sound so absolutely wonderful that we wish they could be real so we could visit them (maybe even live there) for real. For me, that’s totally the case for the following ten settings from books, movies, or tv:

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

In honor of Thanksgiving week in the US, today is all about being thankful. More specifically, what books we are thankful for.

Now, I’m thankful for a lot of books. For lots of reasons. So narrowing this down was… tough. I decided to split it into categories as to why I am thankful for a book in particular, which came a little easier for me. But I would just like to note that some of these books definitely fit into more than one categorie. And I am probably forgetting a lot of books as well. But anyway, here it goes!

Books I Want My Future Children To Read {Top Ten Tuesday}

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s all about the books I’d love to read with my future children. To be honest, my knowledge about children’s books is rather limited because A) I don’t have any kids yet so I’m not yet in the habit of reading children’s books with them and B) I myself mostly read books by Belgian authors as a kid which will probably not be that known to you. For those reasons I decided to broaden the age of those (hypothetical) children from kid to young adult and present you a list of books I’d want them to read for a variety of reasons.

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Also, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Halloween’s by far my favorite day of the year (which doesn’t even have anything to do with that small fact that it’s also my birthday…) and even though I’m working today, I’m planning on spending a cozy Halloween night in front of my tv with lots of candy and a Stranger Things binge-watch session. (#heaven).

But of course I also love the Halloween related blog topics during the Halloween season (yes, it’s a season). Today’s topic is a Halloween freebie and I decided to bring back one of my old faves: supernatural creatures, or creatures of the night! (inspired by the Creatures of the Night book tag by Katytastic)

To be fair, I’m a bit behind on books featuring supernatural creatures lately, but just making this list has got me in the mood again. So please, give me all your recommendations for great books featuring some of those creatures of the night!

In the meantime, here are some of mine:
