Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! That’s right, Halloween is upon as again tomorrow and being as it’s my favorite holiday (and my birthday, so you can say I was born to be a Halloween fan, haha) it deserves to be celebrated!

I usually love spending this day by watching scary movies, reading books featuring supernatural creatures AND listening to my Halloween playlist. So since I already focused on the first two in previous Halloween posts, for today’s post I decided to share ten of my favorite Halloween songs.

I tried to list some of the lesser known songs and a mix of genres, so I hope you’ll discover some new additions to your own playlists! Happy listening and happy Halloween everybody!

DJ BoBo – Vampires Are Alive

Fun fact: this song was once entered in the Eurovision song contest. It did not win. But it’s cheesy, campy and so bad it’s good.

Evanescence – Haunted

This song just has such a supernatural and, well, haunted vibe!

Da Boy Tommy – Halloween

Some Belgian 90’s jump-style nostalgia. It’s been a part of so many of my Halloweens, so I can’t think of any songs that belongs to Halloween more to me.

Misfits – Dig Up Her Bones

This punk song has just the right amount of creepiness for Halloween! The howling definitely helps.

Descendants – Rotten To The Core

Disney can do Halloween too! Love this movie AND the wickedly cheesy soundtrack.

Double Trouble – Harry Potter Soundtrack

I’ve always loved the Prisoner of Azkaban for its Halloween aesthetics, especially this song.

Kesha – Cannibal

Such poppy, Halloweeny fun!

Creedence Clearwater Revival – I Put A Spell On You

Come on, it’s definitely a classic for a reason! So many great covers too, but I still feel like this original fits Halloween best.

The Pretty Reckless – Going To Hell

I can’t help it, I love this song by The Pretty Reckless!

Florence + The Machine – Seven Devils

So creepy. So atmospheric. Perfect for your Halloween playlist!

  1. FUN way to spin today’s topic, Lindsey – I love it. Despite the face that I’m way past the Disney Channel target age, I do love a fun Disney original movie now and again. (I grew up with ‘Tiger Cruise’ and ‘Cadet Kelly.’) Someday just for nostalgia’s sake, I’d like to watch “DESCENDANTS.” 🙂

also… HAPPY (early) BIRTHDAY!! Hope your day is special. 🙂

  2. Ohhh, what a fun twist this week! ? Florence is one of my favorite artists of all time and Seven Devils is my favorite song of hers. It’s so underrated and SO GOOD. ♥
