Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today we’re talking about popular authors that we haven’t read yet and oh boy are there A LOT of popular authors I haven’t read yet! Here’s a selection of just 10 of those authors that are on my TBR to hopefully read soon:

Tell Me:
Which authors have you read and loved from this list?
Which ones should I make my first priority to read books by?

  1. I think Sarah is on my list today too! Her books do look fun, and I see Abby’s on lists all the time, too. Reminds me each time I need to read more about her books. 🙂

    1. Abby and Sarah’s books do look fun! I hope we’ll both love them when we get to them 🙂

  2. It will probably not surprise you if I say I’ve only read The Poppy War from your list as I’m mostly a sf reader haha. It is a heavy read though. I still haven’t read the last one in the trilogy because I know it will destroy me.

    1. I did hear it’s quite heavy, I think that’s why I keep procrastinating on it! Maybe I should start with Babel or Yellowface instead.

  3. I haven’t read any of these either!

Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.

    1. Thanks!

  4. Ahh, I read to read R.F. Kuang’s books too. I’m more likely to start with Babel, though!

    Here’s my TTT.

    1. Maybe a standalone by Kuang would indeed be a better start! 🙂

  5. I think you are going to love Abby Jimenez! I resisted for so long but now I am obsessed with her books. If you’re in the mood for historical fiction, definitely try Chanel Cleeton at least once!

    1. Happy to hear you’re loving Abby Jimenez and Chanel Cleeton! I want to try both authors soon.

  6. I’ve read all of these but Kuang. I’m hoping you can get to them soon. I think you will love them.

    1. Thanks! I do have high hopes for all of them 🙂

  7. Cleeton is the only one of these that I haven’t read yet. She’s on my list to hopefully get to before the end of the year. I have thoroughly enjoyed the rest of these authors. Hope you love them all as you get to them!

    1. Thanks, hope we’ll both get to read Chanel Cleeton and love it!

  8. I’ve not read these either. A good looking list though!

    Have a great week!

  9. I haven’t read any of these authors either, though I do want to read next year in Havana.
    Authors I’ve never read

    1. I hope we’ll both love Next Year in Havana!

  10. The only author I’ve read from your list is RF Kuang. I loved Yellowface.

    1. Yellowface is definitely on my TBR too!

  11. I do want to read Kuang’s stuff.

    1. Same, I’ve heard lots of great things.

  12. Sophie @BewareOfTheReader says:

Before reading Thank You for Listening, listen to My Oxford year by Julia Whelan!

    1. They both sound really good indeed!

  13. I’ve only read The Poppy War and it kind of grossed me out, bit too violent and graphic for me, I hope you enjoy it more though!
    My TTT: https://jjbookblog.wordpress.com/2023/11/14/top-ten-tuesday-446/

    1. I did indeed hear it’s very violent and graphic, so maybe I should try one of her other books first.

      1. Maybe if stuff like that grosses you out!

  14. Chanel Cleeton is on my list today, too. Her books sound really good! I hope we both enjoy them. I haven’t read any of the other ones on your list either. I hope you love them when you get to them!

    Happy TTT!

    1. Chanel Cleeton’s books do sound really good! I hope we’ll both love them too 🙂

  15. The Poppy War, When in Rome, and Part of Your World were all great reads! I hope you enjoy them when you get to them. 🙂

    1. Thanks, I’m glad to hear you enjoyed them!

  16. I want to read R.F. Kuang too! Most of her books are so long that they’re scary.

    1. They’re definitely scary long books, that’s probably why I keep putting them off 🙂

  17. Tanya @ Girl Plus Books says:

I’ve read one each by Jimenez and Adams. They both fell into the “just okay” category for me so I’m not in a rush to read more. Meagan Quinn was so hit or miss for me that I finally gave up on her. Catherine Cowles and Emma Scott are two of my very favorites. 🙂

    1. Thanks, that’s good to know! I hope I’ll have more luck with Jimenez, Adams and Quinn, but definitely looking forward to trying Cowles and Scott! 🙂

  18. I love Abby Jimenez – definitely recommend if you’re in the mood for contemporary romance!

    1. Thanks, I definitely hope to try Abby Jimenez soon!

  19. Beth says:

Ah, I love Meghan Quinn! Highly recommend.

    1. I definitely hope to read her soon!
