Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s all about books with sensory memories, meaning I have vivid memories of where I was and what was going on while I was reading them. Sometimes the reading of a book becomes just a vague memory, where you know you read that book but you no longer have any idea when you read it or what was going on while you read it. But sometimes, for some reason, a book still brings back vivid memories of the time you read them. Here are some of mine!

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor {Quote It Wednesday}

Hi everybody and welcome to a new Quote It Wednesday!

I love this quote because 1) DRAGON! and 2) I think the meaning behind it is so true and something we all need to remember sometimes. And really, aren’t the best villains the ones who have a reasoning we might even understand? Standard mustache-twirling villains who just want to be evil are boring. Give me all the morally grey characters!

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS QUOTE?
Do you agree With it? And how do you love your villains?

Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

I’ve always loved travelling. When I was little, it was my dream to see the world. And now I am a part of that adult world, it is still my dream, except now I’m also more aware of the difficulties coming with that dream. Such as money and time. Though I consider myself lucky and have been able to travel to some nice locations already, there are still sooo many travel destinations I want to get to. Luckily there are books, which help you travel the world from the comfort of your couch. And sometimes, they even fire up that travelbug inside of you.

These are ten travel destinations that books helped put on my travel bucketlist (or at least confirmed their spot on my bucketlist even further):

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Also, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Halloween’s by far my favorite day of the year (which doesn’t even have anything to do with that small fact that it’s also my birthday…) and even though I’m working today, I’m planning on spending a cozy Halloween night in front of my tv with lots of candy and a Stranger Things binge-watch session. (#heaven).

But of course I also love the Halloween related blog topics during the Halloween season (yes, it’s a season). Today’s topic is a Halloween freebie and I decided to bring back one of my old faves: supernatural creatures, or creatures of the night! (inspired by the Creatures of the Night book tag by Katytastic)

To be fair, I’m a bit behind on books featuring supernatural creatures lately, but just making this list has got me in the mood again. So please, give me all your recommendations for great books featuring some of those creatures of the night!

In the meantime, here are some of mine:

Ten Books To Read If You’re Looking For Something Unique {Top Ten Tuesday}

Hi guys, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today is all about unique books!

What actually makes a book unique? Plot, characters, writing style, formatting, POV? A combination of all of the above? While it can be unique in one way, it can be pretty standard in other ways.

For me, all the books below are unique in one way or another. Some I’ve already read, some are still on my TBR. But they all strike me as unique in their own way. They have a unique plot, a unique writing style, a unique narrator, or they are unique in any other aspect. So let’s just get into it!

Hi and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today’s another freebie so I decided to talk about opening lines.

The first sentence in a book is super important. It’s supposed to draw your attention, get you interested, set the tone for the book and get you hooked right away. It should suck you into this new fictional world from the get go. That’s a lot of pressure for one sentence, of course, but it is possible! The proof is in these ten examples:

Books I Wish Had More… Well… More {Top Ten Tuesday}

170207 TTT More

Hosted by The Broke & The Bookish

Hi guys, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today I’d like to talk about a few books I wish had more. Yep. More.

I know, the original idea was to be more specific. Books I wished had more kissing. Books I wished had less tropes. Books I wished had more of something or less of something. But you know, I was wracking my brain for this seemingly easy topic and came up blank. Book blogging blackouts, I guess it happens. So instead I took the topic and vagued it up. Oh yes, I vagued it up and came up with… books I wish had more! Genius, isn’t it? 😉

So these are the books I wish had more. More story. More sequels. More POV. Just… more. Now, when I finish a book I am either completely satisfied with it, or I’m just not. The books below are a combination of both. Some books I was satisfied with, but I’m just a greedy little bookworm and I still want more of the story, more of the characters. And some books I wasn’t that satisfied with but I feel like ‘more’ could easily fix that problem. So let’s get into it!

Hi guys, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday. Today is all about the visuals, because even if we are super imaginative and can perfectly envision everything we read (eh, not always), it’s always nice to just look at beautiful art.

So I would like to talk about a few of my favorite fan artists today. These are artists who are just like us, as in they love to obsess over books. Except, they also have the amazing talent to draw the characters and scenes so beautifully.

Of course, all art belongs to the artists! If you click on the name you will go to their DeviantArt or Tumblr sites where you can see all their art. Be sure to always credit them!
