April 2019: The Month Of Demon Magic, An Adorable Manga & A New Favorite Drama {Monthly Wrap Up}

April 2019

Hi everybody, and welcome to my April wrap up!

Let me just say that it feels like April lasted FOREVER. It’s just that sooo much seemed to have happened. I started with some reading trouble and DNF’ed my first book of the year, Kitsune by Nicolette Andrews, because I just couldn’t get into the story. Thankfully, I read the cutest manga afterwards which seemed to get my reading groove back. I also read the latest novel by my favorite author (you-know-who 😉 ), listened to LOADS of new music and discovered my new favorite kdrama. Not too bad for one month, now is it?

Here’s what I’ve been up to this month:

December 2018: The Month I Gave It My All To Reach My 2018 Reading Goal (& Failed Everything Else Woops) {Monthly Wrap Up}

December 2018

Hi everybody, and welcome to my December wrap up!

The last month of 2018 and pfew, it was quite a mixed month. On the one hand, it was once again proven that I am a very goal-driven person as I gave it my all to reach my Goodreads goal of 60 books read in 2018 and read the most I’ve ever read in one month. On the other hand, things got so busy that other than work, house renovations, reading and sleeping, I had very little time for anything else, which means I’ve been a TERRIBLE blogger. I’m so sorry for being MIA everybody! I only hope it’ll get better soon, but know that I haven’t forgetten you all and will definitely blog hop and comment on all your wonderful posts the moment I get the chance!

For now  though, here’s my December wrap up!

When The Bass Drops It’s Another Banger — My Top 20 Favorite Songs Of 2018 {Something Different Sunday}

My Top 20 Favorite Songs of 201830

Blog post background: Designed by Freepik

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new edition of Something Different Sunday, where I talk about something different than books!

Today, I want to talk about my favorite songs of 2018. I even put them in a handy top 20 list, counting down from 20 to number one, because I felt like it…

Now, a little disclaimer first. If you’ve been following my blog for a while you will know that A) I’ve always loved music and have a very wide taste in music, ranging from musicals and pop to heavy rock and metal and pretty much any genre you can imagine and B) I have however listened to little else but k-pop for the last year or two. This list below represents my tastes of 2018 and as such, has quite a lot of k-pop in it, but not only k-pop. I think it’s still a pretty varied list, though my love of rock feels pretty absent. So in 2019 I’m looking to expand a bit more again and actively try to discover some new rock, punk and metal artists to love, though it’s safe to say k-pop also has a permanent spot in my heart and playlist in the future.

Also, I tried not to have any double artists in this list (unless it’s a collaboration), because if I didn’t have this rule, there would be songs by like 3-4 artists because I’m just a little obsessive like that 🙂

Without further ado, here’s my top twenty 2018 songs!

Books, Music & More I’m Thankful For In 2018 {Top Ten Tuesday}

181120 Thankful

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s post is in honor of Thanksgiving in the US. While we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in Belgium, I do think it’s a nice idea to take a minute and think about everything we’re thankful for. So that’s the meaning of today’s post. To take a minute and reflect on the things that I’ve been thankful for in 2018.

Now, obviously I’m mostly thankful for the people and love in my life. My husband, my family and my friends. They mean the world. Buta post thanking them would end up being an incredibly mushy and sentimental post and since this is in fact a bookish blog, I instead decided to list some books and other forms of entertainment I am thankful for. Because cheesy as it sounds, I am thankful for these. They have helped me in so many ways, so I’m taking the time to spotlight them and tell you why I’m thankful. Let’s go!

August 2018: The Month of Villains, Gumihos & Loving Yourself {Monthly Wrap Up}

August 2018 Wrap Up

Hi everybody, and welcome to my August wrap up!

August has been good – the weather has cooled off and the month has seemed to fly by faster because of it. I did manage to read a few good books, but highlights this month definitely happened on the music and movie front (Gee, what could it be? This is not predictable AT ALL…) Oh, and I got accepted for my first blog tour for one of my favorite authors so I’m pretty pleased overall <3

May 2018: The Month of Finales, Sequels & Spin-Offs {Monthly Wrap Up}

May 2018

Hi everybody, and welcome to my May wrap up!

May was one of those months which seemed to last forever, but that’s only because I feel like I did so much. Every day has been a hustle from beginning to end, and I am both exhausted and happy. I’ve also been a terrible blogger since I am so behind on comments and bloghopping I may never catch up again, but I swear I have good reasons which I’ll explain later in this post. So please forgive me and catch up with what I did in May:

April 2018: The Month Of Clumsy Nymphs, Immortal Jinni and Scary Moms {Monthly Wrap Up}

April 2018

Hi everybody, and welcome to my April wrap up!

My April was weird in that I had the feeling that I read so much, but then with making this wrap-up it turned out I only read three books. Which is not bad, I just could have sworn I read more, you know? But it’s all good, I did get to watch a few movies  so you know I’ve been super productive. Ahem. So here’s what I was up to in April!

My Favorite K-Pop Choreo’s {Something Different Sunday}

Favorite K-Pop Choreos

Hi everybody and welcome to a brand new Something Different Sunday, where I talk about something different than books 🙂

Today I’d like to talk about two things I love, namely dance and music. I’ve been in a dance club since I was a little kid and I’ve always loved music of all genres. But it was especially when I discovered the wonderful world of k-pop that those two aspects just seemed to come together in the most wonderful way. Because here is an entire world of music that puts a major focus on dance. There are intricate choreographies everywhere, a lot of k-pop idols are amazing dancers and best of all, they even post all of their choreo’s on the big old Youtube.

So basically, I am in heaven. And really, what better way to share the love than to write a blog post about some of my favourite choreo’s so far? Here we go!
