Books On My Summer 2023 TBR

20230620 Books On My Summer 2023 TBR

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! As summer is finally here, today we’re talking about the books on our summer 2023 to-read list.

Summer for me is a period when I like to spend some more time catching up on backlist books so this list features some of those. Though I also have quite a few new releases I’m looking forward to.

But, as always, I’m a big mood reader so who knows what’ll happen with this list? We’ll see 🙂

The New Releases

Business or Pleasure by Rachel Lynn Solomon

Release date: June 20, 2023

A ghostwriter and a struggling actor help each other on the page and in the bedroom in this steamy romantic comedy and I am here for it!

The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston

Release date: June 27, 2023

I’ve loved Ashley Poston’s The Dead Romantics and this seems like another amazing romance! I’m already super intrigued by the time aspect in this (which kind of reminds me of the movie The Lake House).

Hello Stranger by Katherine Center

Release date: July 11, 2023

This contemporary romance focuses on a struggling artist whose life gets a lot more complicated when she has a minor surgery with the major side-effect that she can no longer see faces. Sounds intriguing!

Cruel Seduction (Dark Olympus #5) by Katee Robert

Release date: August 8, 2023

I’ve enjoyed every book in this Greek mythology retelling / dark romance series so far so ofcourse I’m also excited for book 5, which is said to be “a scorchingly hot modern retelling of Aphrodite and Hephaestus (and Pandora and Adonis).”

New Adult by Timothy Janovsky

Release date: August 15, 2023

“Nolan Baker longs to be “thirty, flirty and thriving” in this charmingly quirky LGBTQIA+ romance that’s one part 13 Going on 30 and one part One Last Stop.” There is not one part of this description that I do not like.

My Roommate Is A Vampire by Jenna Levine

Release date: August 15, 2023

This just seems like the perfect blend of quirky paranormal rom-com story I would adore. Also, I love the retro style of the cover!

Things We Left Behind (Knockemout #3) by Lucy Score

Release date: September 5, 2023

I’ve fallen head over heels in love with the Knockemout series this year (full review rave here) and ever since I read book one, I’ve been eagerly anticipating Sloane and Lucian’s story.

The Backlist Books
(2023 Releases To Catch Up On)

I am always excited about a lot of books, but I also don’t always get to read them as soon as I originally plan to. So this summer, I hope to catch up on some of these 2023 releases I was excited about but haven’t gotten to read just yet.
