“WWW” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Taking On A World of Words.
Hi everybody, and welcome to a new WWW Wednesday! For this post, we’ll be answering three questions (the 3 Ws):
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
I just finished reading Murder of Crows by Anne Bishop as audiobook.
This is the second book in the Others series and I’m highly enjoying it. So far, it’s a slower fantasy with a lot of emphasis on the different characters and their growth and I love that. There’s also a wonderful found family aspect that I’m highly enjoying.
Reading this series on audio was a good choice for me and I’ll definitely be continuing the series!
I am currently reading A Light in the Flame by Jennifer L. Armentrout as ebook.
Though I enjoyed the Blood and Ash series so far, and A Shadow in the Ember (the first book in this series), I have to say I’m struggling to get through this one. I’m about 40% in and there’s just not much happening. Also, I got really confused with the worldbuilding in this series about 2 books ago. I’m still holding on because I love the romance, but even that is not enough to keep me reading this time…
I am also currently reading A Merry Little Meet Cute by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone as ebook.
I still want to read some holiday romances this year, and this was one that stood out to me because of it’s unique and spicy concept: a porn star being cast in a Christmas movie.
I’m not far in, but I have to say it’s been quite fun so far 🙂
As usual, I’m a huge mood reader so who knows what I’ll be reading next? Until the moment I pick up a book, not even me knows. But here are a few possibilities:
I haven’t read any of these books but I wanna read A Light in the Flame at some point. I just have a few books I wanna read first. I hope the book gets better for you!
I have to admit I haven’t read any further in A Light in the Flame for the past week or so, but I hope to finish it this year still. I heard the second half picks up so I’m curious about that. Hope you’ll have better luck with it when you read it!
A Merry Little Meet Cute sounds so fun – can’t wait for your review!
I just finished A Merry Little Meet Cute and really enjoyed it!
So I’ve read 4 of the Blood & Ash books and had to stop. They are WAY too long for what they are! So, I’m sure that the spin-off series could feel like that even more so! I hope it picks up for you tho! 💜
Yes, I think you put into words my feelings about the series! I loved the first few books, but it should have wrapped up already, by now it’s all just taking way too long.
Yeah, I’m not sure what she’s planning but hopefully she’s done soon…. For those that want to finish the series!!
I want to read The Do-Over since I’ve been loving Painter’s adult romances. I hope you love it.
Thanks! I haven’t read any Lynn Painter before but I definitely want to try.
I’ve only read those 2 adult books, but I loved them so much!
I’ve been trying to read more SF lately…
Hope you’ll enjoy any SF books you pick up!
I’ve struggled with JLA’s books. They’re so well loved but I think I’ve now accepted that JLA isn’t the author for me. Hope this book gets better for you! And I can’t wait to read Merry Little Meet Cute so I hope you enjoy it as well 😍 Happy reading!
I’ve loved the JLA series before, but I think it’s just getting way too long for me. I did just finish A Merry Little Meet Cute and really enjoyed it so hope you will too!
I haven’t read any of those books, but The Do-Over is on my TBR. Like you, who knows when I’ll get to it though. It’s hard to tell what I’ll read next 😁.
Haha I know the feeling! Hopefully we’ll both enjoy The Do-Over, whenever we’ll get to it 😀
