10 Of My Favorite Book Settings

20211012 Favorite Book Settings

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Today we talk about favorite book settings! As a fantasy and contemporary romance addict, I’m sure a lot of my favorite settings are pretty predictable, but honestly I just love them all so much and will never get enough of them!

Magical School

I can’t leave this one out, can I? I’ll never get enough of reading about magical schools. But don’t a lot of us dream we could attend a magical school?

Castle

Castles and old mansions always make for such whimsical settings. They can be romantic, they can be spooky, they can be epic. Just imagine yourself roaming the halls at night with only candlelight to light your way or attending a ball in the massive ballroom.

College Campus

I graduated a while ago, and yet I always love reading about the college experience. Guess I’ll always be an eternal student at heart.

I LOVE BOOKS AND I CANNOT LIE! Bookish settings will always be perfect to me.

Road Trip

Weird fact about me: I hate driving myself and actually have major driving anxiety, but when I’m not behind the steering wheel myself, I do enjoy driving quite a lot and I can never get enough of roadtrip books. Discovering new places, snacks and roadtrip playlists, it’s just so much fun.

Woods Cabin Camp

I’m honestly not one for camping myself (though I do really want to try glamping) but I do love the idea of cozy cabins in the woods and I love reading about people camping and surviving in the woods.

Music Industry

I’ve always been intrigued by the music industry and the behind-the-scenes of it all, so I love reading books with characters in it.

Fictional Fantasy Worlds

I’m always in awe of the many, many intricate worlds authors can build. There’s just no limit and I love discovering each new world. (Bonus points if it has dragons though.)

Workplace Office

Fun fact: I met my husband at work (though we only started dating when we no longer worked together) and that’s why I always love reading about office romances. But also just the day-to-day office life intrigues me.

Small Town

I know the trope of big-city-woman-moving-to-a-small-town-and-discovering-herself is a little overused and yet I will never, ever get enough of it.
