Top Ten Tuesday

My Most Anticipated Releases For The First Half Of 2021

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to the first Top Ten Tuesday of 2021!

As always at the beginning of a new year, it’s the perfect time to look at the year ahead and most importantly, ALL THE EXCITING BOOK RELEASES TO COME! In this post I’m taking a look at the book releases for the first half of 2021 I’m looking forward to the most. And we have quite a few! So without further ado, let’s dive into them!

Lore by Alexandra Bracken

release date: January 5th 2021
This book had me a Greek mythology retelling. And that gorgeous cover. What more does one need, really?

Winter’s Orbit by Everina Maxwell

release date: February 2nd 2021
This debut is a queer romantic space opera in which a scandal-prone prince and a dutiful scholar are forced into a political marriage and are trying to prevent an interplanetary war. I’m thinking it sounds like the perfect mix between Red White and Royal Blue and Bonds of Brass, two of my faves!

Make Up Break Up by Lily Menon

release date: February 2nd 2021
It’s an adult rom-com by Sandhya Menon, and it’s about two rival app developers, so of course this is high on my want-to-read list!

The Gilded Ones by Namina Forna

release date: February 9th 2021
An epic high fantasy inspired by Ancient West-Africa and an empoweringly feminist battle against a patriarchal society = yes please.

A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas

release date: February 16th 2021
Even if I’m not the biggest Nesta fan, I just can’t say no to another Sarah J. Maas book, okay?

Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales

release date: March 9th 2021
This is a YA contemporary about a bisexual girl who gives anonymous love advice to her classmates and then gets hired by the hot guy to help him get his ex back. Sounds so good, right?

Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo

release date: March 30th 2021
More Nikolai. More Zoya. More Nina. More of Leigh Bardugo’s beautiful writing and more of the world of Grisha.

In Deeper Waters by F.T. Lukens

release date: April 20th 2021
“A young prince must rely on a mysterious stranger to save him when he is kidnapped during his coming-of-age tour in this swoony adventure that is The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue meets Pirates of the Caribbean.
I mean, yes please.

The Road Trip by Beth O’Leary

release date: April 29th 2021
A new book by Beth O’ Leary. Road trip. Scotland. Second chance romance. Yep, definitely have high hopes for this one.

The Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout

release date: April 20th 2021
After the major cliffhanger at the end of book two, I need more Poppy and Hawke (and Kieran) and I need it now!

People We Meet On Vacation by Emily Henry

release date: May 11th 2021
Friends-to-enemies-to-lovers from the author of Beach Read equals one very excited me.

The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren

release date: May 18th 2021
I have yet to read a Christina Lauren book I don’t like so adding this to my TBR feels like a no-brainer. I’m already super excited about the hate-to-love, fake dating and science nerd aspects!
