Gorgeous Covers That Prove I Actually Do Love People On Covers (As Long As They Are Illustrated)

20200915 Book Covers With People

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s a cover freebie and when I was out looking for covers I love, I came to a terrifying (not really though) conclusion: despite having always claimed how much I hated covers with people on them, I find myself… not hating them anymore. Most of the covers I love actually do have people on them nowadays. However, 90% of these have one other thing in common: they are all illustrated covers. Guess I love illustrated people better than real images of people.

So I present to you… proof! A collage of some of my favorite covers – all of them including (illustrated) people:

Tell Me:
Do you love people on covers?

  1. I typically like covers with people on them, real or illustrated, and in fact oftentimes feel like the only one who does. 😉 Jen DeLuca’s are just SO dang cute, and I quite like the whole “cartoon” trend currently exploding. Fun post!!

    1. Covers with people on them are definitely growing on me! I do indeed love the Jen DeLuca covers, so I guess it’s a matter of style too 🙂

Bwahaha I love that you came to that astounding conclusion Lindsey! And you’ve been naughty as there are more than 10 covers!

    1. Haha yeah, it was a shocking insight for sure 😉 And once I kept going I couldn’t stop, so I figured I’d do more than ten now to make up for the times I didn’t reach ten 😀

  3. Haha how funny, I did a really similar topic this week!

The cover of The Henna Wars is so pretty. <3 Great list!

    1. Haha great minds think alike 😉
The cover for The Henna Wars is indeed so pretty!

  4. I love the Felix Ever After, Vicious Spirits, and The Falling in Love Montage covers so much! They’re all beautiful 😀

  5. I like both illustrated and real people on covers! I do love this trend of illustrated covers for romances, though – they’re so fun!

    1. People on covers are definitely growing on me, though I love more covers with illustrated people than actual people 🙂 Definitely a fan of the romance illustrated covers too!
