Hi, and welcome to the very first Top Ten Tuesday of 2017! Wishing you all a super happy new year filled with lots of bookish love, but also just all the good things in life

Today’s top 10 is all about looking forward to something new, namely all the amazing sounding debuts that will be released in 2017. Is it just me, or does 2017 sound like it will be absolutely bookishly amazing? SO. MANY. DELICIOUS. SOUNDING. BOOKS!

I am so looking forward to these books, so chances are you probably already heard me rave about them somewhere. But that’s okay, right? Let’s spread the love!

The Love Interest by Cale Dietrich

I think this is my NUMBER ONE most anticpated 2017 debut! I mean, this is about a spy school that trains these teens to become tropes. Their assignment is to get close to a girl and whoever doesn’t get the girl, dies. And then they end up falling for eachother instead? THIS SHIP, I AM ALREADY ON IT!

Caraval by Stephanie Garber

Caraval by Stephanie Garber

I’ve already read so many good ARC reviews of this one, my expectations are sky-high! It’s a tale of family, mystery, fantasy and a bit of romance – so of course I want to read this! It sounds absolutely amazing.

The Gentleman’s Guide To Vice And Virtue by Mackenzi Lee

It’s a historical fantasy in which two boys roadtrip through Europe together and have to fight pirates AND their feelings for eachother along the way. Historical fantasy. Roadtrips. Pirates. FEELINGS. I’m looking forward to this one so much, it’s crazy!

Blood Rose Rebellion by Evelyn Eves

A historical fantasy with lots of magic and a setting in Victorian Hungary? Color me intrigued.

Empress of a Thousand Skies by Rhoda Belleza

Vengeance in space, guys! Vengeance in space! Also, I saw Adam Silvera describe it as Arya Stark in space. I love Adam Silvera. I love Arya Stark. I love vengeance plots. Space is just an added bonus, really. Also, how gorgeous is that cover? (I only just saw there’s a girl in the moon though… #blindasamole)

Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones

It’s a fairytale retelling with Labyrinth elements. There is a Goblin King (who I already casted as Tom Hiddleston. No idea why). It’s been described as dark and sexy. Color me intrigued.

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

This book was inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement and sounds like such a heartwrenching but real and necessary read. A must.

Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller

Honestly, the synopsis had me at pirates. Ok no, the title already had me at Pirate. This sounds like so much fun and I can’t wait!

Frostblood by Elly Blake

A world where people with ice powers (called frostbloods) are in power and hunting down anyone with fire powers (firebloods)? Say no more, I’m in!

Poison’s Kiss by Breeana Shields

The idea of a teenage assassin who can kill with a kiss sounds kind of hit or miss, but I am intrigued! Also, it’s based on Indian folklore and already has some pretty good reviews so I’m in!

Gilded Cage by Vic James

This fantasy dystopian set in England just sounds so dark and interesting, it immediately earned its’ spot on my TBR list!

Are any of these debuts on your TBR list as well? What other 2017 debuts are you highly anticipating?

I think 2017 is going to be amazing book wise! The Love Interest does look good, Blood Rose rebellion (because Hungary) and Empress all look fabulous. And Poison’s Kiss- that cover gets me. Frost Blood doesn’t look half bad either. Great list!!

Oh yes, I’m also highly anticipating The Upside to Unrequited and Flame in the Mist <3 I still have to read This Savage Song (which I hope to do this year), but I'm sure I'll love it and look forward to Our Dark Duet as well 🙂

Ah YES, it sounds so amazing doesn’t it? Funny and original and a dreamy ship! I think it’s only published in June so unfortunately that’s still quite the wait… But I hope it’ll live up to both our expectations 🙂
