April 2020: The Month I’ve Been Even More Thankful For Books, Music & TV Than Ever Before {Monthly Wrap Up}

April wrap up

Hi everybody, and welcome to my April wrap up!

I hope you are all doing well in these weird times? I got through a month and a half of lockdown relatively well. I’m still healthy, as are my friends and family, so that’s obviously most important. And I honestly didn’t have too many issues with being stuck at home as I kept myself busy. I worked in the garden, organized my Spotify playlists, cleaned out my inbox, sorted my administration, cleaned out every cupboard in the house and went on a lot of nice walks. If you don’t count the constant anxiety and crippling worries over mine and everyone I know’s health and financial status, everything’s been fine… Here’s hoping things will slowly get back to normal next month!

In the meantime, here’s what I’ve been up to in April:

WHAT IT’S ABOUT:

If faking love is this easy… how do you know when it’s real?

When her partner of over a decade suddenly ends things, Laurie is left reeling—not only because they work at the same law firm and she has to see him every day. Her once perfect life is in shambles and the thought of dating again in the age of Tinder is nothing short of horrifying. When news of her ex’s pregnant girlfriend hits the office grapevine, taking the humiliation lying down is not an option. Then a chance encounter in a broken-down elevator with the office playboy opens up a new possibility.

Jamie Carter doesn’t believe in love, but he needs a respectable, steady girlfriend to impress their bosses. Laurie wants a hot new man to give the rumor mill something else to talk about. It’s the perfect proposition: a fauxmance played out on social media, with strategically staged photographs and a specific end date in mind. With the plan hatched, Laurie and Jamie begin to flaunt their new couple status, to the astonishment—and jealousy—of their friends and colleagues. But there’s a fine line between pretending to be in love and actually falling for your charming, handsome fake boyfriend…

Fifteen Recent & Upcoming Romance Reads For All Your Swooning Needs

Fifteen Recent & Upcoming Romance Reads

Hi everybody!

For about the last year or so I’ve been on a real romance kick when it comes to my reading. Though I’ve always loved a good romance, I usually  had my dose of romance smothered in dragons, rebellion and all that magicky goodness. But lately, those contemporary romances, YA and adult alike, have been pretty high on my reading list.

So while it’s probably very cliché to release this post on Valentine’s day (and who even likes Valentine’s day anyways?) it’s still the season of love for my romantic soul. So I present to you fifteen recent or upcoming romance reads for all your swooning needs (and surprisingly all dragon-free!)

The Latest Books I Added To My TBR (Featuring A Fantasy, A Graphic Novel, A Thriller and Loads of Rom-Coms) {Top Ten Tuesday}

Latest books added to my TBR 2

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s all about the latest additions to my bookshelf and I decided to interpret this as my ‘to-be-read’ bookshelf because well, it’s always growing so why not share parts of it from time to time? Maybe talking about the books I added to my TBR will help me rethink them and decide not to TBR some books after all… Or maybe not, since that didn’t happen at all, but oh well. Too many books to read is a good problem to have, right? Right?

So here are the latest books I added to my TBR and I am equally excited about each and every one of them!
