January 2018: The Month Of Incubi, Monsters, Grim Reapers and The End of the FXXXing World {Monthly Wrap Up}

January 2018

Hi guys, and welcome to my January wrap up!

My reading in January has been pretty average, quantitywise. I read 5 books, among which a comic, which is not a lot but also way better than some of last years’ slump months so I’m pretty happy with it. Qualitywise, some of those books have become all-time favorites which is definitely a bonus. Also, I watched some AMAZING tv this month and spent quite some time enjoying those worlds so overall, I’m pretty content about the stories I chose to start my year with.

My rating in words: LOVED IT!

WHAT IT’S ABOUT:

Her story is a phenomenon. Her life is a disaster.

In the real world, Eliza Mirk is shy, weird, and friendless. Online, she’s LadyConstellation, the anonymous creator of the wildly popular webcomic Monstrous Sea. Eliza can’t imagine enjoying the real world as much as she loves the online one, and she has no desire to try.

Then Wallace Warland, Monstrous Sea’s biggest fanfiction writer, transfers to her school. Wallace thinks Eliza is just another fan, and as he draws her out of her shell, she begins to wonder if a life offline might be worthwhile.

But when Eliza’s secret is accidentally shared with the world, everything she’s built—her story, her relationship with Wallace, and even her sanity—begins to fall apart.

Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today I’m putting all my shame out there and presenting you with the twelve books I totally meant to get to in 2017, but didn’t… (and the worst part is that I had to cut down this list so badly just to get to only twelve… *nervous laughter*)

But here we go! Feel free to point out the books you read and loved and feel like I should absolutely just READ ALREADY.
