Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Happy New Year, everybody! May your 2019 be awesome and filled with everything you love and are passionate about!

For most of us, that of course includes books, but first let’s look back at some of the books of 2018, shall we? Here are the books that made my 2018 awesome!

To Kill A Kingdom by Alexandra Christo

The Lady's Guide To Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

I fell in love with these morally grey characters and world of political scheming and backstabbing and fae and I need The Wicked King like now…

To Kill A Kingdom by Alexandra Christo

Vicious sirens and killer pirates and a hate-to-love romance? Yes, this was everything I wanted it to be.

The Lady’s Guide To Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee

My girl Felicity in her own adventure, lots of feminism, girl friendships and ace rep made this book exceed even my wildest expectations.

Eliza and her Monsters by Francesca Zappia
  • Save
Autoboyography by Christina Lauren

Let’s Talk About Love by Claire Kann

I talk about this book non-stop but really, it has the best biromantic ace rep and lots of pop culture references and it is just the sweetest.

Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia

Wow, I need more Francesca Zappia stat because this was amazing.

Autoboyography by Christina Lauren

I didn’t expect to love this romance about a bisexual boy falling for a Mormon boy, but I read it again immediately after finishing because it captured my heart that much.

The Shadow Weave by Annette Marie
  • Save
The Blood Curse by Annette Marie
  • Save

The Spell Weaver trilogy by Annette Marie

I know you may be getting sick of me saying this, but really: I haven’t read a single disappointing Annette Marie book to date. The Spell Weaver trilogy was awesome and trust me when I say you need Clio and Lyre in your life.

Dark Arts and a Daiquiri by Annette Marie
  • Save
Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas

Three Mages and a Margarita /Dark Arts and a Daiquiri by Annette Marie

More Annette Marie? Yes please. Though I didn’t expect to love this new series as much as I did her previous series, it quickly changed my mind. In fact, I loved Dark Arts and a Daiquiri so much, it may be my number one read of the year, just saying…

Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas

It’s the end of an era. It feels like the Throne of Glass series has been with me for so many years now so it’s sad to see it end, but at the same time I’m happy that it got the magnificent ending it did. Also, Manon forever <3

Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty
  • Save

The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang
  • Save

Vicious by V.E. Schwab

I waited too long to read this and I shouldn’t have because it is WORTH ALL THE HYPE. Morally grey characters everywhere, villains and sociopaths and delightfully dysfunctional but loving found families own my heart.

Big Little Lies by Lianne Moriarty

WORTH ALL THE HYPE. This murder mystery featuring kindergarten mothers was surprisingly funny as well as suspenseful. Also, definitely check out the tv show, because it is one of the best adaptations out there for sure.

The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

This gender-swapped Pretty Woman with an autistic heroine is the number one romance of 2018 for a reason and if you ask me, it is well deserved.

lord-of-shadows-by-cassandra-clare

Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare

The Dark Artifices by Cassandra Clare

I read Lady Midnight two years ago, but re-read it so I could binge the entire series after the release of Queen of Air and Darkness and I LOVED THIS ENTIRE SERIES. Cassandra Clare can keep writing about shadowhunters all she wants as long as all the books are as excellent as these were. I just love the Blackthorn family so much.
