Hi everybody, happy October! (aka the best month, at least according to me 😉 )
September has once again been full of re-reads for me, and I’ve been highly enjoying them! So let’s dive into this wrap up!

A Court of Mist and Fury (ACOTAR #1) by Sarah J. Maas (RE-READ)
Still continuing my ACOTAR series re-read in preparation for the next book coming out in October. And still think this is my favorite book of them all. 5 STARS
Loving a Vampire is Total Chaos by Aura Hayes
A grumpy detective and a chaotic sunshine vampire? This was fun and unhinged and I enjoyed it overall, though I have to admit, the writing could have used some editing as it was a bit clunky, the pacing felt choppy and the characters a bit “surface-level”. I still enjoyed the read, though I probably won’t continue with the rest of the series. 3 STARS
Comfort Read by Dylan Morrison
This book has so many elements I love: small town, bookstore setting, fake dating and celebrity romance. Sage is a famous actor who needs to fix his reputation. Kit is a bookstore owner who needs funding to keep his bookstore from shutting down. The answer to both their problems is of course to pretend to be in a stable, loving relationship. I mean, the tropes I love are all there, but on top of that it was also written so well! The character development, the slow burn romance… This was adorable and heartwarming and I couldn’t put it down. Full review to come. 4,5 STARS
Ninth House (Alex Stern #1) by Leigh Bardugo (RE-READ)
My goal was to re-read Ninth House and Hell Bent before the release of Dead Beat… but I started a bit too late for that *oops* Nevertheless, I STILL ADORE THIS BOOK SO MUCH! 5 STARS
Hell Bent (Alex Stern #2) by Leigh Bardugo (RE-READ)
HELL HEIST CREW!! Still loving these characters so much. 5 STARS

Against The Current – Protégé
A new banger by my favorite band! And their new album is releasing at the end of the month, just in time for my birthday!
Rosé – New Trick
I love this sound for Rosé!

The Love Hypothesis
Sure, there were quite some changes from the book, but overall I really enjoyed this adaptation! Definitely already want to watch it again.
My Bias, My Boss
I’m only about halfway through this kdrama, which I’m watching on Viki, but I already wanted to mention it because I am having so much fun watching it! I wanted something light and funny and this delivers. The story’s about a woman who’s just got a job at a fashion company owned by a former idol she is a huge fangirl for, and his best friend. It’s just so entertaining and fun and I’m happy I got to find a new kdrama to enjoy as it has been a while.
I’m so happy we’re in the ‘BER months!
THINGS THAT MADE ME HAPPY THIS MONTH:
- Celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary with a nice lowkey dinner just me and my husband.
- Also had some nice dinners/lunches with family members.
- The weather has been nice! After the heatwave of the summer, the temperatures felt normal again.
- Finding a new kdrama to watch again, it’s been too long.
THINGS I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:
- The best month of the year!
- Halloween!
- I’ll finally be able to dive into Dead Beat, my most anticipated read of the year.
- And my second most anticipated read, A Court of Splintered Harmony, is also releasing at the end of this month!
- Plus I still have a bunch of new releases from September to catch up on.
How was your September? What did you read? What did you listen to and what did you watch? What are you looking forward to in October?

I love rereading old favorites!
It’s the best indeed!
Happy anniversary! I’m excited for October, too!
Thanks so much! October is the best indeed 🙂
Happy Anniversary! I really need to re-read the Ninth House books cause I’m desperate to start Dead Beat.
Thanks! 🙂 I really enjoyed my Ninth House/Hell Bent re-read, highly recommend!
Ooh, Comfort Read sounds lovely! *adds to TBR*
It IS a lovely read indeed, I hope you’ll love it too!
First of all, happy anniversary!! 🥳 Second of all, I’m also OBSESSED with Rosé’s New Trick!! For some reason, it’s giving me the same vibe as Rodrigo’s My Way so I’ve been listening to these 2 on repeat FOR DAYS. Someone send help lol
Thank you! Oh I hadn’t realised but My Way indeed has similar vibes 🙂 Thanks for the tip, now I also have both on my playlist on repeat 😀
