Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today’s a fall-themed freebie and I went with 10 cozy fall fantasy reads I think are perfect fall reading!
Are these also perfect winter, spring or summer reading? Absolutely! But for me, fall always makes me crave cozy reads, even more so than the other seasons. So I went with that 🙂

Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree
The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune
The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst
Stay for a Spell by Amy Coombe
A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping by Sangu Mandanna
An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson
Wooing the Witch Queen by Stephanie Burgis
Hopeless Necromantic by Shiloh Briar
The Things We Water by Mariana Zapata
Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer

Tell Me:
Which is your favorite cozy fantasy read?

I hope to read Hopeless Necromantic this fall!
I’m currently reading it and really enjoying it so far!
You reminded me that I want to read Stay for a Spell! Great list!
I loved Stay for a Spell, hope you will too!
Have a good week. Here is my TTT. https://dmhoisington.wordpress.com/2026/09/29/top-ten-tuesday-43-fall-themed-freebie-or-spring-if-you-live-in-the-southern-hemisphere/
Thank you!
You are welcome.
Yes, cozy reads all the way! Something maybe a little lighter, not too much drama, easy to read!
Yes, that’s exactly it 🙂
I just finally read Legends & Lattes and really enjoyed it!
I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed Legends & Lattes!
They all seem very autumn appropriate for sure. 🙂
Thanks 🙂
Yes! Fall makes me think of cozy reads too. I’m always stuck between wanting to read horror for Halloween or cozy books for Fall.
I’ve read Legends and Lattes and loved it, and Assistant to the Villain is one of my top reads of 2026! And I have 5 others on my TBR.

Haha I’m too much of a scaredy cat for horror, so cozy is where it’s at for me 😀
I would always choose The House in the Cerulean Sea
It’s always a good choice indeed!
I’ve enjoyed reading The Assistant to the Villain series.
Here’s my TTT for the week: https://readbakecreate.com/witchy-reads-for-autumn-2026/
I read and loved the first two books, but I still need to catch up with the rest of the series.
I am not a fantasy reader, but there is one coming out that I am tempted to read: Lemon Tea and Library Dragons by Emma St. Clair. Have a great week!
That sounds so lovely (and I’ve been wanting to try Emma St Clair for ages)!
I’ve read about half of this list and want to read the other half!
Thanks for sharing your #TTT
Hope you’ll love all the ones you haven’t read yet!
Fall apparently forces me to choose between haunted books and comforting books. The obvious solution is a cozy inn with one deeply inconvenient ghost.
That indeed sounds like the perfect solution 😀
That sounds like a perfect solution indeed 🙂
