Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today I’m highlighting the books I was reading on this day over the last ten years. Well, this was a fun trip down memory lane, which also gave me the chance to highlight some books that I don’t really talk about that much, so win-win!
📅 2016: The Raven King (The Raven Cycle #4) by Maggie Stiefvater – Wow, it’s been 10 years since I read this series! I remember loving it, but not much else – would I still love it so much upon re-read? (I do remember WHERE I read it though, which was on my honeymoon in Santorini, Italy. Those are fun memories for sure, so maybe a re-read would bring those back too!)
📅 2017: Poison Study (Study #1) by Maria V. Snyder – I remember enjoying this, but I never continued the series and have kind of lost interest by now. Should I still re-read and continue the series?
📅 2018: Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennett – I thought this was a really nice and cute YA!
📅 2019: The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman – I will always love reading about bookish characters.
📅 2020: Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas – I loved this one. Can’t believe we’re getting a sequel this year!
📅 2021: Into the Fire (Night Prince #4) by Jeaniene Frost – Ah, my Jeaniene Frost-year! I could definitely do with a re-read of all the books in these series.
📅 2022: Every Summer After by Carley Fortune – A favorite that I read for the first time in 2022 but have already re-read once since.
📅 2023: Business or Pleasure by Rachel Lynn Solomon – Again my memory fails me as I remember enjoying this book, but not much else…
📅 2024: Quicksilver (Fae & Alchemy #1) by Callie Hart – I really enjoyed this one and have even re-read it since. Unfortunately, the sequel did not live up to my expectations, but I still want to continue the series.
📅 2025: In the Veins of the Drowning (The Siren Mage #1) by Kallie Cassidy – This one started off really strong but then lost me completely in the last third. I will not continue the series.

I haven’t read any of them, no. However, it’s an interesting choice for the last 10 years of today!
It’s a fun topic to do, I think I might repeat it for other dates from time to time 🙂

It really was, I’m itching for a re-read (of the whole Night Huntress universe) 😀
I always meant to read the Night Prince series, I did read the Night Huntress series.

I totally forgot about Nina Hill but I do remember enjoying it a lot! Also loved Cemetery Boys and I’m hoping to do a re-read soon before book two (yay)! Great list 🙂

I adored reading Nina Hill, and Waxman’s other books. I think I have a couple left to read in the same “series”.

It’s so exciting that we’re finally getting the Cemetery Boys sequel we were promised! I can’t wait. Might need to reread that one myself. I think it’s been about six years; I read it back in 2020, too.
Me too, I remember the general gist of it, but not enough to dive into a sequel I think 🙂
I also have a lot of books that I enjoyed reading but that I’m not sure whether I would still enjoy them if I read them today.
So true, a lot of the enjoyment of a book has to do with the timing in your life!
I haven’t read any of these but half of them are already on my TBR so I better get reading 😂

Aw I love that you read The Raven King on your honeymoon, I read on mine as well and they’re such fond memories, doing a reread sounds like wonderful idea and I actually really want to read that series as well as Snyder’s Study series ! I like that you gave updates for if you’re still interested in the book you read in those years 🙂
