20260630 Most Anticipated Books Releasing in the Second Half of 2026

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today is another one of my favorite topics, as I get to highlight my most anticipated books releasing in the second half of 2026.

This has a bit of overlap with the books on my summer TBR I posted about last time, but also some new ones.

Also, since I’ve been verryy busy the past two months (helping my mother move and all the things that came with that has been exhausting), I feel like I’ve been a bit blind to everything going on in the bookish world, so I’m probably missing a ton more exciting releases. It’ll be fun to see what books you all have on your lists! But for now, here’s my list:

The Exquisite Torment of Loving Your Enemy (Dearly Beloathed #2) by Brigitte Knightly

Release date: 7 July 2026

Book one took a while to grow on me, but I’m still very excited for book two!

Extracurricular by Rachel Lynn Solomon

Release date: 14 July 2026

A former popstar enrolling in college and falling for her psychology professor? By Rachel Lynn Solomon? Sign me up!

I Punched an Alien and Now We’re in Couples Therapy (Cosmic Chaos #2) by Kimberly Lemming

Release date: 18 August 2026

Book one was pure unhinged hilarity and chaos. I’m looking forward to more of the same!

Espíritu (Cemetery Boys #2) by Aiden Thomas

Release date: 8 September 2026

I’m so excited for a Julian-POV sequel to Cemetery Boys!

Love Felt Like This by Julie Olivia

Release date: 8 September 2026

If It Makes You Happy by Julie Olivia was one of my favorite reads of 2025. I have high hopes for this one too!

Dead Beat (Alex Stern #3) by Leigh Bardugo

Release date: 15 September 2026

I AM BEYOND EXCITED FOR THIS RELEASE! This series has been one of my absolute favorites so far and I can’t wait to find out how it all ends. Also, is it weird that I am so thrilled there’s an owl on the cover? Whatever, an owl, yay!

Well Versed (Well Met #5) by Jen DeLuca

Release date: 22 September 2026

I had no idea there was going to be a new book in this series, but I AM THRILLED! And this also means it might be the perfect timing to do a re-read of books 1-4 by September…

Bad Words by Rioghnach Robinson

Release date: 6 October 2026

I came to this book because Emily Henry recommended it and then I stayed because it sounds amazing!

Untitled (A Court of Thorns and Roses #6) by Sarah J. Maas

Release date: 27 October 2026

I’m so excited to return to this world!!

The Last King of Faerie (The Wicked Powers #1) by Cassandra Clare

Release date: 3 November 2026

I feel like I’ve been waiting for this book for ages, and now it’s almost here and I’m not ready! I haven’t even started The Last Hours yet and I don’t know if I need to have read that series to be able to enjoy this new one. I think at the very least, I need to do a re-read of The Dark Artifices, so maybe I’ll start there. But we’ll see, for now I’m super excited for the beginning of a new Shadowhunter trilogy!
