Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today I’m listing my favorite books by my favorite authors – a fun one, so let’s dive right in!

Annette Marie
I love all of Annette Marie’s books! My all-time favorite has got to be Immortal Fire, which is the third and final book in the Red Winter trilogy (aka my all-time favorite series). It’s one of the most satisfying series conclusions I’ve ever read.

Sarah J. Maas
If I were to say my favorite series by Sarah J. Maas, it would be Throne of Glass. But favorite book? A Court of Mist and Fury (the second book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series) felt like a life-changing read.

B.K. Borison
Lovelight Farms was the first book I ever read b B.K. Borison and to this day it’s still my favorite. It’s the combination of Christmas, friends-to-lovers and fake dating that does it.

Liz Tomforde
Choosing between The Right Move and Play Along was it’s own brand of punishment since I ADORE both. But in the end, I love Play Along just a little bit more.

TJ Klune
My first TJ Klune and the one I’m most likely to re-read the most is The House in the Cerulean Sea. This book is just a hug in book-format <3

Emily Henry
Funny Story owns my heart! The opposites attract, the fake dating, the slow-burn romance <3

Leigh Bardugo
The Grisha trilogy and Nikolai Lantsov got me hooked on Leigh Bardugo, but Ninth House is perfection in a book.

Christina Lauren
This was another difficult one, as most Christina Lauren reads fall close together on the favorite scale for me. But I went with The Soulmate Equation in the end, because it’s one of those books that stcuk with me long after reading.

Mariana Zapata
Dear Aaron got me hooked on Mariana Zapata and is still my favorite to this day. It’s the slow-burn pen-pal romance that does it

VE Schwab
A Gathering of Shadows, the second book in the Shades of Magic series, is the book that got me obsessed with Kell, Lila and Rhy.

Tell Me:
Do we have any favorite authors and favorite books in common?

TJ Klune writes from such a positive place.

He really does indeed!
I’ve only read Red Winter so far, but I love the folklore and world building. I had never heard of it until I saw her doing a pre-order for a special edition of the trilogy, and I fell in love with the artwork. I was so excited, that I couldn’t wait the few months for the pre-order, so I also bought an e-copy of the trilogy.
The artwork for the Red Winter special edition is so gorgeous indeed! I already had the e-copy, but I couldn’t resist the special edition either 🙂
The only author here I’ve read a book by is Emily Henry, and that was Book Lovers. I’ve tried a couple of others, and struggled to connect with them.
Here’s my TTT for the week: https://readbakecreate.com/favorite-covers-for-murder-on-the-orient-express/
I’m sorry to hear you struggled to connect with Emily Henry’s books
I loved A Court of Mist and Fury and The House In The Cerulean Sea!
Have a great week!

Yay, glad we have those in common!
It’s always nice to see familiar titles!
I had to rule out series for my own sanity, but I do have Emily Henry, I prefer Book Lover though.
Thanks for sharing your #TTT
Haha, I get that 😉 Book Lovers is a close second favorite for me!
I think there are going to be some basking in the love shown to them with this week’s lists!
Haha, missed out the most important word – ‘authors’.
Haha yes, there do seem to be some popular authors getting a lot of love today 🙂
Lovelight looks cute!
It was really cute indeed 🙂
Ninth House is my favorite by Leigh Bardugo too!
It’s the best, I can’t wait for Dead Beat!
ACOMAF and The House in the Cerulean Sea nearly made it to my list Lindsey!
Both authors have many many great ones, it was a tough one 🙂
I really loved The Soulmate Equation, too!
Yay, it was a great one indeed 🙂
House in the Cerulean Sea
Also love the Shades of Magic series, but it was the 1st book that got me hooked into the characters
House in the Cerulean Sea is amazing 🙂
I’m glad to hear you got hooked on the Shades of Magic a bit sooner – I definitely had the slow burn experience with it 🙂
I should try that one by Emily. The two I read by her weren’t new favorites, but I keep feeling like I’m missing something because everyone loves them! 🙂
I hope you’ll love Funny Story more than the previous Emily Henry books you’ve tried! I really loved it, but of course it’s also totally ok if you don’t 😉
I like how you distinguish between favourite book by an author and favourite series – because they can absolutely be different things. That being said, although ACOMAF is definitely by favourite book in that series, I still think my overall favourite SJM book would be one of the Throne of Glass ones – either Queen of Shadows, because that was the first book that solidified TOG as the peak of my teen years or Kingdom of Ash because I loved seeing everything come together.
Great list!
So true! Throne of Glass has so many amazing books indeed! I’d have trouble choosing between Heir of Fire, Queen of Shadows and Kingdom of Ash myself… Whereas in the ACOTAR series, there’s no question about it so maybe it was just the easier pick for me haha 😉
That also makes a lot of sense!
I have only read from Emily Henry, but have not read Funny Story. Have a good week!
I hope you’ll love Funny Story if you decide to try it. Have a great week too!
Happy to see TJ Klune’s The House in the Cerulean Sea on your list! I also like seeing Leigh Bardugo and VE Schwab but haven’t read those two titles yet. Thanks for the poke in their direction.
The House in the Cerulean Sea needed to be on this list! I hope you’ll love the Leigh Bardugo and VE Schwab books if you decide to try them.
I remember one of the books in the Court of Thornes and Roses was the first book I bought over Amazon lol.
I have some of B.K. Borison’s books on my TBR for sure.

I hope you’ll love B.K. Borison’s books when you read them!
I keep meaning to read A Gathering of Shadows. Someday I will.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I hope you’ll love it when you do read it!
We have some author matches on our lists! I really need to get around to reading Funny Story – I have Beach Read as my favorite Emily Henry book right now.
Beach Read was amazing too! I hope you’ll love Funny Story when you get to it 🙂
ACOMAF made it to multiple lists this week 🙂
My TTT: https://laurieisreading.com/2026/05/26/top-ten-tuesday-ten-historical-fiction-novels-that-are-on-my-tbr/
I definitely understand why haha 😀
I really love People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry. Oh, and I enjoy Christina Lauren a lot! I know they have a new book coming out soon.
People We Meet On Vacation was also an amazing Emily Henry read indeed!
Wow! We have a lot of favorites in comon! Funny Story is my favorite Emily Henry, ACOMAF is my favorite Sarah J Maas, and Lovelight Farms is probably tied with Business Casual as my favorite B. K. Borison!
Yay, glad to hear we have so many faves in common!
