Hi everybody, and welcome to a new WWW Wednesday! For this post, we’ll be answering three questions (the 3 Ws):
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
My reading is still a bit slow (I blame the dark days of winter that cause me to fall asleep so quickly every evening, so my reading time has been a bit more limited), but I am making some progress with my books!
I just finished reading Brimstone (Fae & Alchemy #2) by Callie Hart as ebook.
While I loved Quicksilver even more upon my re-read in December, I had a bit of trouble staying invested in the sequel. I’m not quite sure why exactly that happened, but I had the feeling the plot was all over the place while at the same time, not much was happening at all? The writing also felt very confusing, and there were so many characters who didn’t really contribute anything. I feel very mixed about this book, but I’ll definitely continue the series to see were it goes. 3,5 STARS
I am currently reading Carl’s Doomsday Scenario (Dungeon Crawler Carl #3) as audiobook.
Yes, I’m still pretty invested in this series! In this book, Carl and Donut made it to level 4, and it’s train-themed. It’s a pretty complex level so I sometimes zone out a bit when there is talk of all the lines and stops, but I am so in it for the characters!
I am also currently reading Good Spirits by B.K. Borison as ebook.
It may not be the holiday period anymore, but I’m still happy to finally dive into this one! I’m about 40% in and I’m loving it.
I am also currently (still) reading Apprentice to the Villain (Assistant to the Villain #2) by Hannah Nicole Maehrer as physical book.
I haven’t made much progress in this book, but that’s just because I haven’t had much chance to read it yet (I refuse to try on weeknights as I just fall asleep too quickly, especially with physical books, so I only really have the weekends to make progress) I am really enjoying it so far though.
As usual, I’m a huge mood reader so who knows what I’ll be reading next? Until the moment I pick up a book, not even me knows. But here are a few possibilities I’m thinking of.

Oof, it’s hard when the second book in a series is kind of a let-down – makes you wonder if you should continue the series or not!
So true! I’ll probably continue since I do want to know what happens… hopefully I’ll have better luck then!
I wanna read both Game Changer and We Who Will Die next but I might have to read some others first. We shall see…
I want to read them next too, but we’ll see where my mood takes me 😀 I hope we’ll both love those reads!
