Hi everybody and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!
Though I have to come clean right away: this is a bit of a lazy post for me. 🙈
See, I didn’t feel like taking the actual ‘Books I’m hoping Santa brings’-route, because I feel like I’ve done similar posts enough recently and also I’m so behind on books I wanted to read that it would be pretty similar. So I thought I’d take a bit of a different approach and list like magical book-related wishes. I already had all these ideas in my head… only to realize I actually already wrote this in a very similar post a few years ago. And when I read what I wrote back then, I was like… well this is exactly the same list as the one I’d come up with today!
So, I kind of recycled it… 🫣
My apologies for the unoriginality, but also yay for recycling old posts that may need some more/new love, I guess? 😅
Anyway, here we go!
✨ I WISH I’d always know exactly what book to read next. Choosing my next book is always such a hassle. I can spend hours browsing my TBR trying to find the perfect book I’m in the mood for, only to constantly second-guess myself and try to find another book.
✨ I WISH I had the uncanny ability to only pick up books I LOVE. No more meh books, only OMG I LOVE IT – 5 STAR BOOKS!
✨ I WISH I could magically set the perfect mood for reading: chores done, nobody bothering me, cozy reading weather, food ready and nowhere to be. Also, if I could not fall asleep while reading in the evening, that would be superb!
✨ I WISH I could make money by reading.
✨ I WISH my reviews would magically write themselves the moment I finish a book. Eloquently and with minimal keyboard smashes…
✨ I WISH I had a magic library in my house that magically expands to fit all the books I want. Like, I would NEVER run out of shelf space.
✨ I WISH I could choose to forget about a book completely and relive it for the first time all over again.
✨ I WISH I had the power to turn all my favorite books into PERFECT movie/TV adaptations. Perfectly casted, the right vibes and including ALL the crucial scenes that hit the spot.
✨ I WISH I’d remember what happened in a previous book in a series perfectly, so I’d never struggle when reading a sequel again.
✨ And lastly, I ALSO WISH I could time travel so I’d never have to wait for an anticipated release ever again.

Tell Me:
Do we have any bookish wishes in common?

This is such a fun list and post! I really enjoyed reading it. 🙂
Thanks Rissi! 🙂
That’s quite the wishlist, I’ll cross my fingers for you.
Thanks for sharing your TTT and have a very merry week
Haha thank you, me too! Happy holidays!
I agree so hard with all of these, especially the one where I don’t have to work 40 hours a week!
To be paid for reading books (and reviewing them, I guess 😉 ) would be amazing indeed!
This is an awesome post—wouldn’t have known you’d recycled it and I fully agree with all of your wishes because can I have the same? 😂 I’d especially love for my reviews to write themselves and for me to be able to choose exactly the book I want to be reading next without any hemming and hawing cos that’s all I seem to be doing lately!
Oh I am the same with the hemming and hawing before picking a book! It can take so long before I make a choice, especially when I start to doubt what my reading mood is really asking for haha 😀
The way all of these wishes are my wishes too! Especially the ones about money, reviews writing themselves, and always picking 5-star reads 🤣. This was such a fun post!
If you’d like to visit, here’s my TTT (I didn’t have many bookish wishes for once, so I’ve chosen a previous prompt I missed):

Haha thanks, I do hope all these wishes could come true for all us readers 😉 😀
We have nearly all in common but especially the library!
That library would be amazing indeed! 🙂
lol yes all of these!
May they all come true for us all 😀
I love this list! Bravo. 🙂
Thank you! 🙂
To never work again and just read all day… that’s the dream!
A bookish job would be amazing indeed!
Your entire list is what I want too – knowing which book to read next, which books are going to be OMG!!!! kind of books, etc.
best list ever. 💚
Thanks, may all these wishes come true for all readers 😉
I know what you mean about wishing I could only select book I actually love. I hate it when I have to spend time with a meh book because there has to be a great one out there. Happy holidays!
Yes, sometimes it’s just so hard to be able to know which books will be the most loved and which will only be meh. Thanks and happy holidays to you too! 🙂
I love these wishes! I feel like we all wish we could make money reading books. Wouldn’t that be the perfect job?

I agree with pretty much all of these wishes haha! Such a great post 🙂

Haha thanks! May they come true for all readers 😉
Yes, yes and yes. I agree with them all.
Yay! Here’s hoping they one day come true for all us readers 🙂
I love this! I totally wish I could remember every detail. Even if it was a memory I could just go back and grab when I need it! Happy Holidays!!
Yes, indeed! It would make reading series so much easier! Though on the bright side, forgetting things from books makes re-reading more fun too 😀
