Hi everybody and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!
Today’s a thankful freebie in honor of Thanksgiving in the US. While we don’t celebrate this holiday in Belgium, I do love the opportunity to think about things we have to be thankful for.
As always, I just want to say that of course I am most happy for my husband, family and friends and their health and mine. That is ALWAYS number one. But for this post I donβt want to get too sentimental and instead focus on other things that Iβm thankful for. The smaller things in life that bring joy… here we go!
1. Books
I mean, this is a book blog, so obviously this is a major one! I’m thankful for the books I got to read this year, the characters I got to meet and the worlds I got to explore.
These are a few of my favorite reads of the year:

2. Music
Another recurring one as I love music of so many genres, and 2025 had some great songs! Below just one example, but I’m already looking forward to preparing my 2025 top ten list π
3. Celebrating my 10-year wedding anniversary
A little bit of a bigger one in between my ‘little’ thankful moments, but I got to celebrate my 10th wedding anniversary with my husband this year, so I’m very thankful for that. We celebrated with a dinner with our closest family members.
4. My re-reads of The Hunger Games and Throne of Glass series
I love re-reads! And this year I got to immerse myself in re-reads of two of my all-time favorite series: The Hunger Games and Throne of Glass. It’s always nice to rediscover a beloved world and finding I still love it just as much upon re-read.

5. Seeing Linkin Park live
Linkin Park is the band that I’ve been a fan of since I was just a teenager. After all that has happened, I am thankful that I got to experience them live once again!
6. Learning new things
At the beginning of the year, I set the goal for myself to take some free online courses in Digital Marketing. It’s a fast-moving field and I want to make sure I keep up and don’t get outdated. While I wasn’t as consistent as I wanted to be, with a little lull between February and August, I still ended up getting a few certificates concerning SEO, Google Analytics and Google Ads. To be continued in 2026, but I’m thankful for what I already accomplished this year.
7. K-Pop Demon Hunters
Look, I was hesitant to watch this one at first. I thought it was a kids movie. And then I heard one of the songs, liked it and decided to give it a try… and next thing I knew, I became obsessed. I think these are the most played songs on my 2025 playlist and will probably take over my Spotify Wrapped. But I’m so thankful to just feel this simple, sheer enjoyment over this story that encompasses screen and music.
8. Discovering chai lattes
Where have you been all my life? This drink tastes like Christmas and you better believe I’m enjoying them whenever I can!
9. Walks with Pixel

I always enjoy going for walks with my dog, Pixel. It’s nothing new, but I do feel like I started to enjoy my walks a lot more this year. It’s a little bit of me-time, hanging out with Pixel, listening to my audiobook, getting my steps in and just watching nature go through the seasons.
This year I actually spotted my first fox in the wild, as well as a deer and a buzzard – definitely thankful for those moments.
10. Picking up archery as a new hobby
I joined an archery club last December, which means that I’ve now been doing that for almost a whole year! It’s been fun, and though I’m definitely still a newbie and still learning, I love pretending I’m the heroine in some fantasy novel while I’m shooting π

Tell Me:
What’s something you’re thankful for in 2025?

I am honestly so thankful that 2025 wasn’t a hard year for us. Also thankful for books, as always!

Happy anniversary! And great job on taking time out during the year to work on things for you.
I felt the same way you did about K-Pop Demon Hunters. My husband talked me into watching it with him. And we both LOVED it! It’s interesting how some of the songs have found their way onto the radio. He’s heard a few on the playlist at work (he works in a grocery store).
