Get To Know Me In 10 TV Shows {Non-Bookish Post}

20251014 Get To Know Me In 10 TV Shows

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s another non-bookish post, and since I did a Get To Know Me In 10 Songs a few weeks ago, I thought this time I’d do a Get To Know Me In 10 TV Shows today!

I thought it might be easier than the 10 songs, but NO IT WAS NOT EASY. I love a lot of TV shows, some ongoing, some I need to catch up on, some old favorites I can rewatch over and over again… so limiting it to 10 was tricky. But I managed so let’s go!

Ongoing Obsessions

The Boys: I have to be honest, after the first 3 episodes, I wanted to stop. This show is gory and has a twisted sense of humor that I had to get used to a bit at first. But after a while, I was HOOKED. While yes, it’s gory and I have to look away pretty often, this show also has GENIUS storywriting and amazing acting.

Stranger Things: At first I thought this was a show that would only be good for one or two seasons, but every season so far has been absolutely amazing. I love the vibes so much and I’m so invested in all of these characters (and yes, that’s why I’m a bit scared for the final season).

Emily in Paris: This is such a an addictive little show and while it may not be winning any awards any time soon, it’s super entertaining and a fun way to escape for a little while. Also, I’m super invested in the romance and I (still) want Emily and Gabriel to have a happily ever after, please.

Bridgerton: I love this show so much! The vibes, the romances, the music… it’s all so good and I can’t wait for Benedict’s story.

Oldies But Goodies

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: I can keep rewatching and rewatching this show. I grew up with this show, I adore it so much. If I had to pick just one show from these 10, it would be Buffy, hands down.

Gilmore Girls: I think it’s time for a rewatch of this one (though I’m okay with excluding the ‘Year in the Life’ episodes though). Luke/Lorelai and Rory/Jess own my heart.

Veronica Mars: This sassy detective owns my heart. At least, seasons 1 to 3 and the movie do as they were all amazing. I haven’t watched the extra season we recently had as I’ve been spoiled and decided to make up my own ending instead.

The Kdramas Of My Heart

Romance is a Bonus Book: Ah, I know I said if I had to pick only one show I’d choose Buffy, but can we pretend Kdramas are a separate category, because I NEED Romance is a Bonus Book in my life forever and ever too. I rewatch this almost yearly and adore it every time. The bookish love (I want to work at this publishing company too), the lovable characters and the friends-to-lovers romance? PERFECTION <3

Crash Landing On You: It’s one of those classic kdramas that gets recommended every time for a reason. Star-crossed lovers, all the chemistry (the two main actors actually fell in love and married IRL, how amazing is that?) and the hilarious and heartwarming found family are amazing.

Lovely Runner: This is one of my most recent kdrama watched and I AM OBSESSED. This is a time travel romance about a girl who somehow ends up travelling back in time 15 years ago to save someone important to her who passed away mysteriously. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions and the romance is just the best.

Honorary Mentions

I will also always be ready to rave about any of these shows:

Fallout, Young Royals, Heartstopper, Half Bad (forever salty this was cancelled), Dept. Q, The Good Place, Good Omens, Never Have I Ever, Nobody Wants This and Only Murders in the Building

Tell Me:
What are some of your favorite TV shows? Do we have any in common?

  1. I need to finish binging Dept. Q but was liking that and Nobody Wants this was fun. I also love Veronica Mars and GG as nostalgic favorites. :

    1. Hope you’ll love the rest of Dept. Q! I’m looking forward to the new season of Nobody Wants This πŸ™‚

  2. I rarely watch TV these days, but I did watch Race Across The World and Destination X recently, both are travel shows.

    1. I don’t watch a lot of travel shows, but they do sound fun!

  3. I rewatched Buffy and handful of years ago, and it really stood the test of time – I’m simultaneously excited for and nervous about the reboot…

    1. I also rewatched Buffy a year or two ago and still love it just as much! And I share your feelings about the reboot – I hope we’ll end up loving it just as much as the original!

  4. I have watched The Gilmore Girls before. Here is my TTT. https://dmhoisington.wordpress.com/2025/10/14/top-ten-tuesday-5/

    1. Gilmore Girls is such a cozy fall show!

  5. Buffy was such an interesting show. Will you be watching the reboot?

    1. I’ll definitely be watching the reboot, though it has me both excited and nervous πŸ™‚

  6. I love the variety! I agree about The Boys – it’s a little too gory for me at times but I want to know what’s going to happen! We’ve been loving Only Murders in the Building.

    1. Glad to hear I’m not the only one who feels that way about The Boys πŸ˜€ Only Murders in the Building is so fun, though I still have to catch up with the latest two seasons.

  7. I love Stranger Things, Bridgerton, Buffy (currently rewatching!), Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars and love your honorary mentions of Heartstopper, The Good Place and Only Murders in the Building!

    1. Ah yay so nice that you’re rewatching Buffy! I did a rewatch like 1-2 years ago and I’m already aching for another one πŸ™‚

  8. A friend of mine is big into K-pop and when we took a trip last year, she said, “There’s this show I want to watch, but you don’t have to if you aren’t into K-dramas.” I figured I’d give it a shot – and she started Crash Landing on You. Man, that show had everything – suspense, romance, so much humor. I really need to watch some others soon.

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

    1. That’s amazing! I would indeed definitely recommend Crash Landing On You as the perfect kdrama ‘gateway show’ πŸ™‚ If you want to try another one, I’d definitely recommend Romance is a Bonus Book. It’s also on Netflix and it’s more slow and character-driven, less suspense than Crash Landing, but all the bookish love is just *chef’s kiss*

  9. I so rarely watch shows (because I’m too lazy, ironically) but I was surprised by how invested I became in Stranger Things! I’m also scared for the final season 🫣

    1. I know, the final season has me both scared and excited – I hope we’ll be okay!

  10. I need to get back to Bridgerton and Stranger Things. I also want to start Emily in Pairs. I loved Gilmore Girls! Here is my post https://paigesofnovels.wordpress.com/2025/10/14/top-ten-tuesday-books-i-wish-i-could-read-for-the-first-time-again/

    1. Yay for Gilmore Girls! Hope you’ll love Emily in Paris if you decide to give it a try! πŸ™‚

  11. I love the Gilmore Girls, and I 100% agree-Luke/Lorelei and Jess/Rory!

    1. Yes for Gilmore Girls! πŸ™‚

  12. Sophie @BewareOfTheReader says:

    I loved Bridgerton 😍😍😍

    1. So excited for the new season! πŸ™‚

  13. Funny enough, the only show you’ve mentioned that I’ve actually watched is Buffy. I’ve never been huge on watching TV shows to the end.

    1. Glad to hear you did watch Buffy though! πŸ™‚

  14. This is such a great idea for a non-bookish freebie post πŸ™‚ I recently watched Buffy for the first time and I LOVED it! Here’s my Top Ten Tuesday post – https://justreadjessie.blog/2025/10/14/top-ten-tuesday-books-i-wish-i-could-read-again-for-the-first-time/

    1. Yay, I’m so happy to hear you fell in love with Buffy! πŸ™‚

  15. I need to catch up on Stranger Things. I loved the first season.

    1. There’s still time before the final season releases if you’d like to do a binge catch-up πŸ™‚

  16. An interesting topic. I don’t watch a lot of TV. Mostly YouTube. I have just started rewatching Yes, Minister, and I recently finished season 1 of The Walking Dead. Otherwise, I like shows like CSI, and Death in Paradise for the most part.

    1. I’ve heard about The Walking Dead, but the other shows are new to me so I’ll need to check them out!

  17. I agree with you about Buffy. Best show ever. I loved Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars as well but upon rewatch as an adult I find things to nitpick but Buffy is perfect.

    1. So true! I can keep rewatching Buffy and find it equally perfect every single time!

  18. I love Strangers Things very much and for kdrama I agree with Crash Landing on You. Loved your post!❀️

    1. So glad to hear that! πŸ™‚
