Hi everybody and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! And HAPPY HALLOWEEN WEEK! Today’s topic is all in honor of Halloween and since I did darkly atmospheric books last week, today I’m highlighting cozy romances instead.
Because if you’re like me, sometimes you’re in a more dark and atmospheric vibes kind of mood and other times you’re craving more cozy-romantic-light-funny vibes. So today we’re focusing on the latter!
The following are 10 cozy romances perfect for reading this Halloween season.
(I’ve read and loved most of them, only 2 books marked by an * are still on my TBR):

A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping by Sangu Mandanna
featuring grumpy witches, magical inns, talking foxes and an undead rooster
The Things We Water by Mariana Zapata
featuring slow-burn romance and magical puppies
Wooing the Witch Queen by Stephanie Burgis
featuring a cinnamon roll hero and a powerful witch queen heroine
Love at Second Sight by F.T. Lukens *
featuring supernatural teens and psychic visions of a future murder to solve
Ghost Business by Jen DeLuca *
featuring two ghost tour rivals
The Nightmare Before Kissmas by Sara Raasch
featuring a sweet romance between the Princes of Christmas and Halloween
Wolf Gone Wild by Juliette Cross
featuring a spicy romance between a witch and the werewolf whose curse she’s trying to break
My Roommate is a Vampire by Jenna Levine
featuring a human and vampire who become roommates (the title says it all)
A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating A Demon by Sarah Hawley
featuring a spell gone wrong, a demon summoned and a witch in trouble
The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston
featuring a disillusioned ghostwriter and the handsome ghost that’s haunting her

Tell Me:
Do you prefer darkly atmospheric or cozy romantic reads during the Halloween season?

Based on the cover art, Jen’s book looks ideally perfect for this time of year. 🙂 I know her books are well liked too.
It does indeed sound so fun and I loved her other books!
I must say that I do prefer cosy and feel-good to horror

Same here, I’m definitely not a horror reader 🙂
Oooh, I’ve seen a few of these floating around on Instagram lately but I don’t know why I haven’t thought to read them… I do love a good cosy romance so maybe I’ll have to make a note of them for next year 🙂

Switching between dark and cozy is definitely my preferred reading too 🙂
I’m curious about My Roommate Is a Vampire.
It was a fun read! 🙂
Ooh, I can’t believe I forgot about Nightmare Before Kissmas! That’s been on my TBR since it came out. Might try to squeeze that in this spooky season or maybe even during the holidays! 🤠I love a great cosy atmospheric romance. Great list!
It’s definitely a perfect read for both spooky season AND the holiday season so you have time 😀
I haven’t read any of these, but I have most of them on my TBR.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
I hope you’ll love them when you get to them!
I’ve read A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping and A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating a Demon, and enjoyed both. I have My Roommate is a Vampire on my TBR.

I love this post!! It’s not horror, haha. I have read a few of these and loved them! Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping is one I just downloaded yesterday!
Haha, I don’t think I’ll ever have a horror post (too much of a scaredy cat) 😀 I hope you’ll love A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping!
Yeah, I’m in the same boat. I’m a big ol’ chicken! haha. Thank you!
I rarely read romance, but these do look like fun! And, I agree, sometimes you just need something light and entertaining to read.
Happy TTT!
