Books With Occupations in the Title

20250902 Books With Occupations in the Title

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today’s topic is ‘Books with occupations in the title’ and oh boy was this a difficult one! I had to get a little outside of the box and include fantasy occupations like witch queen or alchemist, but in doing so I got to 10, so here we go!

Tell Me:
Did you read any of these? Did you find any other occupations?

  1. I had Sarah’s at one time and adding hers to my list would liven it up a bit. 😉 The Nanny looks cute and is a title I thought looked fun in the past (after seeing it on lists like this in the past). Happy September! 🙂

    1. The Nanny was a fun read, though a lot spicier than the cover would suggest 🙂

  2. I’m glad it’s not just me that found this week’s topic so difficult!

    1. It was definitely a lot harder than I had expected!

  3. Me: smiling at seeing the Annette Marie books and wanting to reread all the series!

    1. I’m itching for a reread too! I’m now (finally) in the middle of my Throne of Glass reread, but after that the Annette Marie series is a must 🙂

    1. They’re occupations too 🙂

  4. Ooh, we had three in common today. How could I have missed The Knight and the Moth though!? That’s a great pick 🙂

    1. I hope to read The Knight and the Moth soon! 🙂

  5. I want to read Assistant to the Villain soon.

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

    1. I hope to read it soon too!

  6. Nothing wrong with stepping outside the box! Nice list. I have seen several today with “Nanny” in the title.

    1. Thanks! Nanny does seem to be a popular one indeed!

  7. Great stuff!! Who wouldn’t want to put “Occupation: Knight” on a job application?

    1. Haha, I bet it would definitely get some attention 😀

  8. What a brilliant list! I love that you thought outside the box and included some fantasy occupations to round it out. It’s a great approach to a tricky topic.

    1. Thanks! 🙂

  9. I have Assistant to the Villain on my list this week too. I’ve enjoyed the whole series so far.

    1. Thanks!

  11. Sophie @BewareOfTheReader says:

Great list Lindsey! I should have thought of Assistant to the Villain (is assistant the occupation or the villain? LOL)

    1. Haha, I think this is indeed a title with multiple occupations in it 😉

  12. Fantasy titles have the best occupations in them! I had a hard time coming up with ten in the genres I read.

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

  14. Fabulous list! This reminds me that I read Three Mages and a Margarita a couple years ago and totally forgot to keep going!!

    1. I hope you’ll love the rest of the Guild Codex series if you decide to continue it, it is one of my favorites 🙂

      1. Thank you- it’s definitely on my radar to continue soon!
