- What did you recently finish reading?

I just finished reading Enchanta (Wicked Games #2) by Kaylie Smith as audiobook.
Phantasma was one of my favorite reads of 2024 so I was super excited to read more in this world in Enchantra. And it was another win! A lush estate in the Italian countryside, a cursed family forced to play deadly games, a sassy heroine and a broody hero with shadow powers and the cutest shadow fox familiar, devils, masquerades, piranhas, mazes,… I’m sad this book is finished and I’m eager to dive back into a new Wicked Game in book 3!
I just finished reading The Things We Water by Mariana Zapata as ebook.
This was a cozy, slow-paced, slow-burn fantasy romance and though I thought it was a bit too slow for me, I still really enjoyed it overall. It’s one of those books that make you wish a place was real and you could live there among the cast of characters yourself.
I am currently reading Rewind it Back (Windy City #5) by Liz Tomforde as ebook.
Aww man, I love this series so much so I’m feeling super nostalgic reading this final book in the series, but I’m glad Rio’s story is saved for last as it is the perfect conclusion.
I am currently reading Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry as audiobook.
Though I consider myself a big Emily Henry fangirl as I have adored all of her previous books, I have to admit I’ve been hesitant to pick this one up. It’s a bit different from her previous books and because of that, reviews have been mixed and I’ve been a bit worried I may not like this one.
I’m not far in yet, but so far I’m liking it – I’m enjoying the interactions between Alice and Hayden and I am intrigued about Margaret. So we’ll see how I feel about this book as I get further in.
As usual, I’m a huge mood reader so who knows what I’ll be reading next? Until the moment I pick up a book, not even me knows. But here are a few possibilities I’m thinking of:

I’m glad to hear Enchantra was a win! I’ve heard some mixed feelings on that one (though not from people who have actually, you know, finished the book – LOL). I’m hoping to get my hands on the new Emily Henry, but the hold list at the library puts me at six months out – boo
I’m definitely in the camp of Enchantra lovers! Though I will admit, Phantasma was a bit better in my view too. But the vibes in Enchantra… it was just such an enjoyable read!
