Books on My Summer 2025 TBR

20250617 Books on My Summer 2025 TBR

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today I’m talking about the books on my summer 2025 TBR.

While usually, my TBRs are full of a lot of upcoming new releases, in summer I do like to take a step back and catch up on some backlist books, maybe do some re-reads. And this year is no different, because while I do have a few upcoming summer releases I’m looking forward to, this list is mostly full of backlist books. As there have been A TON of exciting book releases recently-ish (from winter 2024 up until now), I’m way behind on reading them. So that’s my mission for the summer! (Of course, as a mood reader, who knows what’ll happen, but hey, at least I have somewhat of a plan)

Upcoming Summer Releases

Rose in Chains by Julie Soto

Release date: 3 July 2025

A dark fantasy set in a magical world, with enemies-to-lovers and a morally grey love interest? I’m in!

The Irresistible Urge to Fall For Your Enemy by Brigitte Knightley

Release date: 8 July 2025

When I saw the list of tropes for this book included enemies to lovers, he falls first, and evisceration as a love language, I knew I needed to read this.

Furybound (The Wolves of Ruin #2) by Sable Sorensen

Release date: 30 July 2025

Book one, Direbound, is one of my favorite reads of 2025 so far and I am so excited for the next installment!

Recent Releases/ Backlist

All of these are books that released pretty recently-ish but I haven’t had a chance to read yet, so I’m hoping this summer I’ll get the chance to do just that!

  6. These look good. I like to add books from my TBR that are fairly old, but I generally don’t get to them due to my habit of signing up for Blog Tours!

    Have a great week!

    1. I don’t do blog tours anymore, but I do get distracted by new releases often. Well that and my mood reading šŸ™‚

      1. I keep telling myself to slow down, but then an exciting one comes along, or a book 2 šŸ˜‚

I didn’t think I was much of a mood reader, but I’m not so sure these days šŸ˜‚

  7. Never Been Shipped looks cute.

    1. It does look cute šŸ™‚
