Book Covers With Animal Companions

20250527 Book Covers With Animal Companions

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today we’re highlighting animal companions. I love animal companions, but the problem is that I’m awful at remembering which animal companion were in which book I read again… So for today’s topic, I chose to focus only on animal companions highlighted on book covers (that’s an easy way to remember at least!). Some of these are actual animals in contemporary books and some are more mythical creatures in fantasy books that would probably not appreciate being called an animal, but hey I struggled with this post so we’re just going to go with it…

Here we go:

Two Witches and a Whiskey by Annette Marie
Geekerella by Ashley Poston
Get A Life Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert
The Tourist Attraction by Sarah Morgenthaler
The Unbreakable Bladesong Druid by Annette Marie
Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
The Long Game by Elena Armas
Eragon by Christopher Paolini
The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst
I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I’m Trapped In A Rom-Com by Kimberly Lemming

Tell Me:
Have you read and loved any of these books featuring animal companions as well?

  1. I don’t remember all the details, but seeing The Tourist Attraction reminds me that is one book where the pet is very important. 🙂 Like you, I relied on cover art too! Asking me to remember what role the animal plays in the story is, well, too much. 😉

    1. Haha glad to hear I’m not alone in needing the cover art to remind me 😉

  2. Annette Marie superiority!!! 😍

    1. She needs to be present in as many posts as possible for me, haha 🙂

  3. I got abducted by aliens and now I’m trapped in a rom-com is THE BEST title for a book! Here’s my TTT: https://damppebbles.com/2025/05/27/toptentuesday-27th-may-2025/

    1. It is such a hilarious title (and so is the book itself) 😀

  4. OMG, that cover on I Got Abducted… How awesome!

    1. I do love that cover so much too – it really captures the hilarious chaos of the book 🙂

  5. I wonder what dragons would think about being called animals? 🙂

    1. Haha I’m guessing they would not appreciate that at all 😉 but I struggled with this topic so I had to get a bit more creative 😀

  6. LOL, we all seem to have trouble remembering! This was a smart way to go. Have a great week!

    1. Glad to hear I’m not the only one who had trouble remembering 😀

  7. Wow, my memory really did me dirty because how could I forget Chloe Brown and Tourist Attraction? Those were some great animal companions 🙂 Excited to read Spellshop and Abducted by Aliens!

    1. Don’t be too hard on your memory though, because the only way I remembered was because of the cover art 😉

  8. Yes to the Spellshop!!!!
