WWW Wednesday Header

“WWW” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Taking On A World of Words.

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new WWW Wednesday! For this post, we’ll be answering three questions (the 3 Ws):

  1. What did you recently finish reading?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Just Finished Reading
Things We Hide From The Light by Luc Score

I just finished reading Things We Hide From The Light by Lucy Score as audiobook.

When I read the first book in this contemporary romance series, Things We Never Got Over, I fell so head over heels in love with the small town of Knockemout and all their lovely, quirky inhabitants and their romance and drama, that I immediately picked up the second book upon finishing the first one.

This installment focuses on Nash Morgan, the charming chief of police of Knockemout. After having been shot in book one, Nash is struggling with panic attacks, but he refuses to let anyone know or ask for help. But then his sexy, badass new neighbour moves in and he’s feeling things he hasn’t felt in a long time.

I’m writing a series (so far) review on this one, but let it be known I ADORED both of the books so far and am eagerly anticipating book 3 releasing later this year!

Currently Reading
The Serpent and the Wings of Night by Carissa Broadbent

I am currently reading The Serpent & the Wings of Night by Carissa Broadbent as ebook.

I’ve been on a huge romance-binge for the past year or two and I have no regrets about that, but I have also been missing the fantasy genre a lot lately. So when I saw someone recommend The Serpent & the Wings of Nights as an amazing fantasy romance perfect for fans of From Blood and Ash and ACOTAR, I was all over it! Bonus is that it is the first part in a duology and the second part is releasing in April. Also, so MANY rave reviews!

I’m about 30-40% in at the moment and am highly invested! The story is about a world where vampires rule. Our main heroine, Oraya, is the adopted human daughter of the vampire king and as such she has learned to survive in a world designed to kill her. But she wants more, and her only chance to ever become more than prey is to enter the Kejari, a legendary tournament held by the goddess of death herself. Once she’s entered the tournament, she is forced to make an alliance with the mysterious Raihn.

Reading Next

As usual, I’m a huge mood reader so who knows what I’ll be reading next? Until the moment I pick up a book, not even me knows. But here are a few possibilities:
