Top Ten Tuesday

The 10 Highest Rated Books On My TBR

20221206 Highest Rated Books On My TBR

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today was a freebie topic and I decided to highlight the highest rated (according to Goodreads) books on my TBR.

Now, I did add a few criteria for this list: the books need to be released already and have at least 1.000 ratings. I also chose not to add any sequels in series. With that said, the list that came up turned out to be pretty nice and diverse, and all books I really hope to read someday soon. So let’s just dive right in:

Lore Olympus: Volume Two by Rachel Smythe (Avg Rating 4.54)

The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss (Avg. Rating 4.52)

The Rose Code by Kate Quinn (Avg Rating 4.46)

Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare (Avg Rating 4.43)

Someday, Someday by Emma Scott (Avg Rating 4.42)

The Lightning-Struck Heart by T.J. Klune (Avg. Rating 4.41)

Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff (Avg Rating 4.41)

Greek Mythology by Liv Albert (Avg Rating 4.39)

The Butterfly Project by Emma Scott (Avg Rating 4.36)

Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys (Avg Rating 4.36)

Tell Me:
Have you read any of these already?
If yes, do you agree with their high rating?

    1. Glad to hear you enjoyed The Rose Code, even if it wasn’t as much as other readers.

  5. Indeed a very diverse list! From this list I’m probably most interested in Lore Olympus. I’ve seen the coloring in that graphic novel is very striking.

    1. Me too, I haven’t even started her latest trilogy yet – maybe next year!

      1. I have bought a few and have them sitting on my shelves if that counts 😂

  11. Those 2 Emma Scott books are FANTASTIC, so it doesn’t surprise me they made this list. Same for Salt to the Sea. I listened to that one and the narration was fabulous. I felt like I learned a lot, too.

    1. Glad to hear you enjoyed these reads! I definitely hope to read them all soon – maybe I’ll make it a challenge to myself for 2023…

  12. I loved Salt to the Sea – definitely deserving of the high rating!

    1. Glad to hear that, it definitely sounds great so I hope I’ll get to read it soon!

  13. Love the look of Greek Mythology! And I started Wind once years ago… never did finish 🙂

    1. Wind does look intimidatingly big so I’ll need to be in the right reading mood before I start it, or I’ll probably also never finish.

  14. I’ve read 2: Rose Code and Name of the Wind – both excellent with deservedly high ratings. A couple more of them are on my TBR. I actually though of doing something along these lines then ended up doing something very different.

  17. All of these look good and peak my interest. Like I need to add more books to my TBR. Thank you for sharing.

    1. Haha glad I could help grow your TBR 🙂 Hope you’ll enjoy any of these books you decide to try!

  18. I’ve read The Rose Code, and I really enjoyed it, I’ve read three of Kate Quinn’s books in the past two years (The Rose Code, The Alice Network and The Diamond Eye) and rated them all 4 stars, so she’s definitely an author I highly recommend. I’ve also read Salt To The Sea, and whilst I did like it, my favourite Sepetys book is the other one of hers I’ve read, Between Shades of Gray.

      1. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did 🙂

  19. I loved Salt to the Sea. It’s one of my favorite historical fiction books. I agree with the high rating for that one.

    1. I definitely hope to read it soon!

  20. Oh I haven’t heard of that Klune book before. I’ll have to look it up.

    1. I’ve heard great things about it!
