Books From My Past Seasonal TBR Posts I STILL Haven’t Read

Books From My Past Seasonal TBR Posts I STILL Haven’t Read

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today we’re taking a look at our past seasonal TBRs and check which books of those TBRs we STILL haven’t read (submitted by Dedra @ A Book Wanderer).

So umm… let me just say that I am a huuge mood reader and so my seasonal TBRs are more like guidelines rather than rules… But that said, while I didn’t do amazing, I also don’t think I did that bad?

So anyway, let’s get into it, here are my seasonal TBRs of the last year and how I did:

From my Spring 2022 TBR

Ok, so this is the TBR where I still need to read the most books from, but in my defense, it was just last season so I have had the least time to complete it…

From my Winter 2021-2022 TBR

My winter TBR was a bit different as it included a lot of backlist books from my fall TBR, so I’m not counting them twice as they are listed below already. It also included a few re-reads, which I’m also not counting here. So really, my actual TBR included only 4 books and I almost read them all, so yay me!

Running Wild by K.A. Tucker

From my Fall 2021 TBR

This is the one I feel the worst about, because it’s been the longest and I STILL haven’t read so many of these books. I’ll get there someday, promise!

Tell Me:
How did you do on your latest seasonal TBRs?
Would you highly recommend one of the above books to me because you read and LOVED them?

  1. I bet Book of Night is good Holly Black CAN write.

    1. I hope to get to it soon!

  2. Sophie @BewareOfTheReader says:

I am such a mood reader that I don’t even try to make TBR anymore most of the time 😂

    1. Haha I totally get that 🙂 Though I do love making TBRs, I just don’t necessarily keep track of them that well (unless for posts like this haha)

  3. I’m a huge mood reader, too. I think you did a good job with your TBRs. 🙂

    1. Thank you! 🙂

  4. As a fellow mood reader, I 100% feel this. I tend to make possibility piles and they’re always very loose “TBRs” cos it really depends on my mood! I’ve got quite a few of the books you’ve mentioned here on my to-read list still… I hope you enjoy them whenever you get to them! 😉

    1. I do love the idea of ‘possibility piles’ 🙂 While I do love making TBRs, I also don’t mind that much if I don’t get to them all – I prefer to follow my mood because that usually means I’ll enjoy the book I picked a lot more. Hope you’ll enjoy the books on your TBR too whenever you get to them 😉

  5. I’ve been doing pretty good with reading my seasonal TBRs, but there have been times where I’ve barely read anything from them! It really depends sometimes, like you said, on mood!

    1. I think it’s definitely okay to follow our mood when it comes to TBRs – it usually makes for the best reading experience that way 🙂 So I don’t mind that much if I didn’t do well with my TBR, as long as I loved what I did read.

  6. Love the way you did this, Lindsey! Honestly, the only time I make a TBR is for TTT topics. I giggle the whole time, knowing that it’s an exercise in futility. lol I did love Running Wild, though. I loved getting Marie’s story.

    1. Thanks! Haha, I do love making those TBRs, but it’s true for me too that it’s mostly an exercise in futility because I just follow my mood. Though for Running Wild I’ve been waiting for the audiobook to release, so the fact I haven’t read that one yet has nothing to do with my mood 🙂

  7. The Ex Hex was so good! I hope you enjoy it.

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

    1. Glad you enjoyed The Ex Hex! I’ll probably read that this fall, as it seems like a fall read to me 🙂

  8. I think you have done well. So many of those books I want to read too!

    Have a great week!

    1. Thanks so much! Hope you’ll get to those books too 🙂

      1. Fingers crossed!

  9. I am also a mood reader, so I get it. I usually put books I’m guaranteed to read on my list. I was shocked I could come up with 10 today. You did a great job with your TBRs.

    1. Thanks! I think for me, it’s mostly that my excitement for some books just ebbs away after a while and then I have to push myself to read it, which I hardly ever do so I end up just waiting for the mood to strike again (it usually does, just never know when). Or, in the case for Running Wild, I wait for the audiobook and the wait ends up longer than I anticipated haha 🙂

      1. I hate when I have to wait for a hold. 😉

  10. Ha ha so not good! I think the best I did on a recent TBR was probably my Winter TBR where I finished 5 books (although one of the instalments on the list was four comics grouped together, and I did finish two of those, so if you count those separately then that’s actually 7!). I’ve been wandering off my TBR and just reading whatever I feel like to be honest!

    1. I’d definitely count that as 7! 🙂 I honestly prefer just reading whatever I like too. I love making TBRs, but I will always follow my mood when it comes to reading, I think it makes for a more enjoyable reading experience.

      1. Well I certainly did for my Goodreads Challenge as it helped me reach my goal! Yeah I would agree, it helps sometimes to have a plan but you have to be in the mood for whatever you’re reading or you won’t enjoy it.

  11. I feel like if the pirate code can be more guidelines than rules lol, so can our TBR’s. 🙂

Tucker’s books seem to get lotsa love!

    1. Haha indeed, if pirates can do it, why can’t we? 😀

I have The Ex Hex on my TBR. I hope that you enjoy these when the opportunity arises.

    1. Thanks, hope we’ll both love The Ex Hex!

  13. I am terrible with TBR’s with my mood reading. I just think of it as a maybe list and go from there. I never accomplish one. Although, I’m going to take a look at my summer one and see how I’m doing on that. haha. I still have to read The Ex Hex!

    My Top Ten!

    1. A maybe list sounds like a great term to use 🙂 Hope we’ll both love The Ex Hex whenever we get to it!

      1. Thanks! 🙂

  14. I have to read Glow too. I preordered it and still haven’t gotten to it. lol i hope you get a chance to read all of these soon!

    1. I was really looking forward to Glow and now I’m procrastinating on it… but I hope we’ll both enjoy it when we get to it 🙂

      1. Me too. I love the series, but just haven’t found the time to squeeze it in yet. lol

  15. I’m a huge mood reader too but was surprised to find I had actually read almost all the books on most of my seasonal TBR posts. I’m sure I didn’t get to them in the correct seasons but I got to them eventually, haha.

    1. That’s great that you got to most books on your lists! Haha, if I’d had to get to them in the correct seasons, this list would probably be wayyyy longer 🙂

  16. I love the way you even give us the statistics. Brilliant. And spring has only just finished, so no problem there.

Thanks for visiting my TTT this week.

    1. Thanks so much! Haha yes, I’m still good for spring 🙂

  17. I think you’ve made some great progress on your seasonal TBR lists. 😀 Congrats! 😀

    1. Thanks! 🙂

  18. No matter my GOOD intentions I always fail at my TBR reading. Not that I wouldn’t really like to read my TBR titles, I just don’t. But maybe someday I will win the reader battle. 😉 Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland on this week, Lindsey. I appreciate it – apologies it took me this long to visit here.

    1. Haha I totally relate with the good intentions and the failing at TBR reading though Rissi 🙂
