10 Summer Romance Books To Get In That Summer Mood (If You’re Not Already)

20220712 Summer Romance Books

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Today’s topic was supposed to be ‘Book Covers That Feel Like Summer’ but I did something very similar not too long ago so I’m doing this topic with a little twist. Today, I’m focusing on Summer Romance Books! The following 10 books are all romances with major summer vibes and isn’t that just so much fun? They can be read at the beach or cozy inside when it’s too hot outside, with or without an ice cream in your hand. And bonus point? Their covers actually all do feel like summer too!

(Side note: it was only after finalizing this post that I realize I apparently can not count – as this post contains 11 books instead of 10. So umm, please ignore my fail and enjoy the bonus rec 😉 )

Beach Read by Emily Henry
Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson
Love and Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch
Alex, Approximately by Jenn Bennett
Well Met by Jen DeLuca
The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren
The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas
Shipped by Angie Hockman
Places We’ve Never Been by Kasie West
Heartbreakers and Fakers by Cameron Lund
Wanderlost by Jen Malone

  1. You found a lot of wonderful covers. Here is my TTT

    1. Thanks!

  2. I’ve read Kasie West before and liked her work. And Love & Gelato:: two perfect things for summer. Lovely covers, all of them!

    1. Kasie West does have some really nice books. And nothing better for summer than love and gelato, indeed 🙂

  3. I’ve not read any of these books but these covers are perfect choices for the prompt!
    My Top Ten!

    1. I loved The Unhoneymooners, hope you will too!

      1. It’s been on my list for a while!

  6. Ahh, I just love that cover on The Unhoneymooners! It makes me want to take a tropical getaway!

    1. It really does!

  7. I had Shipped and Beach Read on my list today as well. The other covers you’ve chosen really do have that perfect summer vibe—especially the ones by the pool and with ice cream! Great list 🙂

    1. I’m pretty much craving the pool and ice cream all summer long! (Though to be fair, I’m craving ice cream all year round haha :))

  8. West’s book is on my list today, too. I’m sad I didn’t include that Morgan Matson cover because it really does make me think summer. Same with Bennett’s book.

    1. Morgan Matson and Jenn Bennett do seem to have a lot of summery covers! I really enjoyed that West book too 🙂

  9. I’m not really a romance person in books, I prefer it in films or on TV than in books, I find I can get more invested in romance between characters when I can actually see the chemistry of the actors/characters in front of me! I just watched Love & Gelato on Netflix and I thought it was really cute 🙂

    1. I totally understand, though I’m usually the other way around – I like the time spent on a romance in books, it makes it feel more real to me somehow than in a movie, where it all seems to go so fast (though I do also like when tv shows bring a good slow burn 🙂 ) I’m happy to hear you liked Love & Gelato on Netflix! I’m looking forward to reading AND watching that one 🙂

      1. I definitely get that, I think for me it’s just the lack of visuals thing, if I can’t see it, it feels less real to me. I totally understand what you mean about things feeling rushed though. Yes, I love a good TV slow burn, basically all my fave TV romances are slow burn couples! I hope you enjoy both the book and the film then 🙂

  10. I also had Emily Henry on my list today!

    1. Most of her books are a perfect fit for this topic 🙂

  11. I really liked Love and Gelato. And The Unhoneymooners has such a nice summery cover.

    1. I’m looking forward to reading AND watching Love & Gelato 🙂

  12. Great picks, Lindsey! I came *this close* to using Alex Approximately, too. That was such a cute story. And thanks for the extra cover. LOL

    1. Alex, Approximately was indeed such cute story – I need to read more Jenn Bennet. And haha, you’re welcome 😉

  13. I forgot about Love and Gelato! Great choices. I still need to read Shipped!!

    1. Thanks! Hope you’ll love Shipped!

      1. Thank you!

  14. Thanks for commenting on my post. Sorry it has taken me a little bit to get back to you. I’ve been exhausted from moving and unpacking. I’m sure you understand.

Fantastic covers. I love the colors and the vibrancy. 😀 I’ve had Love & Gelato on my TBR for several years now. I really need to read it.

    1. Of course, I hope moving and packing went well!
Same, I hope we’ll both get to Love & Gelato some time soon and will love it 🙂

  15. Emily’s first two novels have all kinds of summer time vibes going for them. 🙂 We love lists that feature summer rom-coms, too! Thanks so much for making time to visit Finding Wonderland on this week; apologies it took me this long to visit here.

    1. Emily Henry does have the summer rom-com vibe down 🙂

  16. Great list of book recs! I’ve read 6 of them and loved them all. 🙂

    1. Yay, glad we have some favorites in common! 🙂
