Books On My Summer 2022 TBR

20220628 Books On My Summer 2022 TBR

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today we’re talking about the books on our summer TBR and as I do must summers, I’ll be focusing not only on new releases, but also on backlist books and re-reads. So without further ado, here’s my summer 2022 TBR:

The New Releases

Husband Material (Boyfriend Material #2) by Alexis Hall

Release date: August 2nd 2022

Boyfriend Material was one of my favorite reads of 2020 and now we’re getting a sequel? More Luc and Oliver? YES YES YES YES YES (I’m definitely excited.)

Fence, Vol 5: Rise by C.S. Pacat

Release Date: August 16th 2022

I’m still not sure how I even got into a comic series about fencing of all things, but here we are. I love this series for its found family aspect, the humor, and the slow burn romance (like, really REALLY SLOW BURN) and I’m super excited we’ll finally get volume 5 in August.

The American Roommate Experiment by Elena Armas

Release date: August 18th 2022

I loved The Spanish Love Deception, so I’m super excited for Rosie’s story. Plus, forced proximity is always a nice trope!

Love On The Brain by Ali Hazelwood

Release date: August 23rd 2022

I have adored Ali Hazelwood’s first novel, The Love Hypothesis, as well as her novellas, so OF COURSE I’m super excited for her next release! Plus, it has enemies-to-lovers AND more women in science, so I’m in!

The Backlist

So This Is Ever After by F.T. Lukens

This book explores what happens after the chosen one wins the kingdom… and is forced to married to keep both his kingdom and his life. Also, I am getting a friends-to-lovers vibe and an Arthur/Merlin vibe from this blurb and I AM HERE FOR IT.

Something Wilder by Christina Lauren

I will always be excited for any new Christina Lauren release as they always end up on my yearly favorites lists, so I have high hopes for this second-chance romance.

Never Been Kissed by Timothy Janovsky

This just sounds like such a fun, feel-good summer read and I am already so excited to read it!

Love & Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch

This book has been on my TBR for years and I still haven’t read it. Not sure why, because I love everything about Italy and gelato… But now the adaptation is out on Netflix and I want to read the book before watching it.

The Re-Reads

Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall

Umm, OF COURSE I’ll be re-reading Boyfriend Material in preparation for Husband Material!

All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata

I only just read this small-town romance last year and I’m already itching for a re-read.

Red White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

This would be my third or fourth re-read, but the recent casting news for the movie adaptation has gotten me so excited again so yes…. re-read time!

The Steel and Stone series by Annette Marie

I’ve been saying I need to re-read this series in preparation for the upcoming follow-up series Blackfire for a while now, but this summer’s the time, I can feel it.

    1. Oh, I hope you’ll love Boyfriend Material too!

  17. I’m excited to read Husband Material, too. I just read the first, so I don’t need a reread yet. I wouldn’t mind rereading Rhodes, though. I miss those characters. I need a new one from her soon-ish.

    1. Yes, I keep looking for new releases from Mariana Zapata, but I didn’t find anything yet. But that said, I still have a huuuge backlist of hers I need to read so maybe I should start there haha 🙂
