Twelve Spring 2022 Releases On My TBR

20220315 Spring Releases TBR

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s all about the books on our spring TBR and as usual, this spring is so full of amazing new releases that I’m pretty sure will take over most of my TBR (sorry, backlist!). Here are 12 spring 2022 releases on my TBR:

So This Is Ever After by F.T. Lukens

Release date: March 29th 2022

Carry On meets Arthurian legend in this funny, subversive young adult fantasy about what happens after the chosen one wins the kingdom and has to get married to keep it…and to stay alive.

I read In Deeper Waters by F.T. Lukens last year and it was such a nice, feel-good fantasy that I’m very eager to try their next novel. And wow, I’m already loving the fact that this book explores what happens after the chosen one wins the kingdom… and is forced to married to keep both his kingdom and his life. Also, I am getting a friends-to-lovers vibe and an Arthur/Merlin vibe from this blurb and I AM HERE FOR IT.

The Wedding Crasher by Mia Sosa

Release date: April 5th 2022

The USA Today bestselling author of The Worst Best Man is back with another hilarious rom-com about two strangers who get trapped in a lie and have to fake date their way out of it…

I loved Mia Sosa’s The Worst Best Man, and then I found out her second novel features the fake dating trope. I mean, it was meant to be!

The No-Show by Beth O’Leary

Release date: 12 April 2022

Three women. Three dates. One missing man…

Beth O’Leary has become an auto-buy author for me and though it seems like this one will be quite different from her previous “rom-coms with depth” like The Flatshare or The Switch, I’m sure it will be utterly brilliant. I already can’t wait to find out what’s going on with this Joseph Carter guy.

The Romantic Agenda by Claire Kann

Release date: April 12th 2022

Joy is in love with Malcolm. But Malcolm really likes Summer. Summer is in love with love. And Fox is Summer’s ex-boyfriend.

An adult fiction book by Claire Kann. With ace rep. And fake dating. I AM SO IN!

Book Lovers by Emily Henry

Release date: May 3rd 2022

One summer. Two rivals. A plot twist they didn’t see coming…

So you’re saying that the next Emily Henry book (the author of Beach Read and People We Meet On Vacation, both of which were amazing reads) is a bookish story about a romance between a literary agent and an editor? I need this one so badly!

Book of Night by Holly Black

Release date: 3 May 2022

#1 New York Times bestselling author Holly Black makes her stunning adult debut with Book of Night, a modern dark fantasy of shadowy thieves and secret societies in the vein of Ninth House and The Night Circus

A dark adult fantasy book by Holly Black featuring shadow magic? YES, PLEASE!

I Kissed Shara Wheeler by Casey McQuiston

Release date: 3 May 2022

From the New York Times bestselling author of One Last Stop and Red, White & Royal Blue comes a debut YA romantic comedy about chasing down what you want, only to find what you need…

I’m here for Casey McQuiston’s books and I’m hoping I Kissed Shara Wheeler will be another feel-good queer rom-com with amazing found family vibes.

Never Been Kissed by Timothy Janovsky

Release date: May 3rd 2022

Dear (never-been-quite-over-you) Crush,
It’s been a few years since we were together, but I can’t stop thinking about the time we almost…

This just sounds like such a fun, feel-good summer read and I am already so excited to read it!

Something Wilder by Christina Lauren

Release date: May 17th 2022

I will always be excited for any new Christina Lauren release as they always end up on my yearly favorites lists, so I have high hopes for this second-chance romance.

Once Upon a K-Prom by Kat Cho

Release date: May 17th 2022

What would you do if the world’s biggest K-pop star asked you to prom? Perfect for fans of Jenny Han and Sandhya Menon, this hilarious and heartfelt novel brings the glamour and drama of the K-pop world straight to high school.

It’s no secret I love kpop and kdramas, and this story sounds like the perfect mix of both!

Glow (The Plated Prisoner #4) by Raven Kennedy

Release date: May 19th 2022

Rot may bring death… but gold will come alive.

This is book four in The Plated Prisoner series, the adult fantasy romance inspired by the myth of King Midas.

Wicked Beauty (Dark Olympus #3) by Katee Robert

Release date: June 7th 2022

*A scorchingly hot modern retelling of Helen of Troy, Achilles, and Patroclus that’s as sinful as it is sweet.*

I loved both Neon Gods and Electric Idol, so I’m already so excited for the third installment in this dark romance greek mythology retelling!
