12 Romance Books Releasing In 2022 To Put On Your Radar

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s topic was a love freebie, which I adored because I’m a hopeless romantic! So I decided to focus on some upcoming 2022 contemporary romance releases which I’m very much looking forward to. And little sidenote, but how nice is it to see all these pretty colored covers together?

Anyway, here are 12 romance books releasing in 2022 to put on your radar (if they’re not already):

Delilah Green Doesn’t Care by Ashley Herring Blake

release date: February 22nd 2022

A clever and steamy queer romantic comedy about taking chances and accepting loveβ€”with all its complicationsβ€”by debut author Ashley Herring Blake.

This sapphic rom-com sounds amazing and how beautiful is this cover?

Hook, Line and Sinker (Bellinger Sisters #2) by Tessa Bailey

release date: March 1st 2022

In the follow-up toΒ It Happened One Summer, Tessa Bailey delivers another deliciously fun rom-com about a former player who accidentally falls for his best friend while trying to help her land a different man…

I still need to read the first installment in this Bellinger Sisters series, but it is such a well-loved rom-com that I’m sure I’ll love both installments a lot already!

The Wedding Crasher by Mia Sosa

release date: April 5th 2022

TheΒ USA TodayΒ bestselling author of The Worst Best Man is back with another hilarious rom-com about two strangers who get trapped in a lie and have to fake date their way out of it…

I loved Mia Sosa’sΒ The Worst Best Man, and then I found out her second novel features the fake dating trope. I mean, it was meant to be!

The Romantic Agenda by Claire Kann

release date: April 12th 2022

Joy is in love with Malcolm. But Malcolm really likes Summer. Summer is in love with love. And Fox is Summer’s ex-boyfriend.

An adult fiction book by Claire Kann. With ace rep. And fake dating. I AM SO IN!

Book Lovers by Emily Henry

release date: May 3rd 2022

One summer. Two rivals. A plot twist they didn’t see coming…

So you’re saying that the next Emily Henry bookΒ (the author of Beach Read and People We Meet On Vacation, both of which were amazing reads)Β is a bookish story about a romance between a literary agent and an editor? WHY IS MAY 2022 STILL SO FAR AWAY??

Never Been Kissed by Timothy Janovsky

release date: May 3rd 2022

Dear (never-been-quite-over-you) Crush,
It’s been a few years since we were together, but I can’t stop thinking about the time we almost…

This just sounds like such a fun, feel-good summer read and I am already so excited to read it!

Something Wilder by Christina Lauren

release date: May 17th 2022

I will always be excited for any new Christina Lauren release as they always end up on my yearly favorites lists, so I have high hopes for this second-chance romance.

American Royalty by Tracey Livesay

release date: June 28th 2022

In this dangerously sexy rom-com that evokes the real-life romance between Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Markle, a prince who wants to live out of the spotlight falls for a daring American rapper who turns his life, and the palace, upside down.

A prince who falls for a raunchy rapper? Yes, please!

Husband Material (Boyfriend Material #2) by Alexis Hall

release date: August 2nd 2022

Wanted:
One (very real) husband
Nowhere near perfect but desperately trying his best

Boyfriend Material was one of my favorite reads of 2020 and now we’re getting a sequel? More Luc and Oliver? YES YES YES YES YES (I’m definitely excited.)

The American Roommate Experiment by Elena Armas

release date: August 18th 2022

From the author of the Goodreads Choice Award winnerΒ The Spanish Love Deception, the eagerly anticipated follow-up featuring Rosie Graham and Lucas MartΓn, who are forced to share a New York apartment.

I loved The Spanish Love Deception, so I’m super excited for Rosie’s story. Plus, forced proximity is always a nice trope!

Love On The Brain (Love Hypothesis #2) by Ali Hazelwood

release date: August 23rd 2022

From the New York Times bestselling author of The Love Hypothesis comes a new STEMinist rom-com in which a scientist is forced to work on a project with her nemesisβ€”with explosive results.

I think a big part of the bookish community fell for The Love Hypothesis in 2021 and we probably are all ridiculously excited for Ali Hazelwood’s next release!

A Cosmic Kind of Love by Samantha Young

release date: August 30th 2022

Space is the last thing an event planner and an astronaut need in this charming new romantic comedy fromΒ New York TimesΒ bestselling author Samantha Young.

I’m a sucker for a good penpal romance, but add in an astronaut? Whole new level, yes!
