Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!
Today’s topic is ‘Memorable Things Characters Have Said’ and this was perfect because I actually have a biweekly topic on Wednesdays called ‘Quote It Wednesday’, where I highlight a book quote I love. So please find below a selection of my favorite quotes / Quote It Wednesday posts from recent reads (if you count recent as 2-3 years-ish haha). Some of these quotes are deep, some are relatable, some are inspiring, some are funny, but all of them stuck with me long after reading. Here we go!

People We Meet On Vacation by Emily Henry
Just Last Night by Mhairi McFarlane
All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata
The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern

  1. Daisy Jones is such a good read, especially the audiobook! Love the quote you’ve picked. Happy reading! My TTT https://readwithstefani.com/top-ten-audiobook-recommendations/

    1. Yes, the Daisy Jones audiobook is phenomenal indeed!

  2. I like all your quotes! Lovely graphics, the way you’ve presented them. And the quote from Just Last Night rang very true because I recently met an old school friend of mine after 10 years. 🙂

    1. Thanks! I do love old friends, it’s always special hanging out with them 🙂

  3. I loved your first quote about vacations! It’s so true.

  4. LOL that Big Little Lies quote is so true! Just a product of getting older, I guess!

    1. Haha yes, and definitely in this age of Zoom calls – every time I see myself on camera for one of those, I have to think about this quote 😉

  5. Cerulean Sea has so many good quotes, I picked a different one grin that book. https://susanlynknits.com/2021/11/09/top-ten-tuesday-memorable-book-quotes/

    1. Yes, Cerulean Sea is so very very quotable, I love it 🙂

  6. Ah, so many good quotes! 😍 Cerulean Sea was probably one of the most quotable books that I’ve ever read. I feel like I highlighted at least half the passages in there! Haha

    1. Haha same! Cerulean Sea is so very very quotable, I love it 🙂

  7. It’s definitely not easy to take criticism! But it’s a good skill to learn. 🙂

    1. It’s definitely a good skill to have, if not an easy one 🙂

  8. I love so many of these! The Just Last Night quote reminds me of something that I always say, which is that old friends are the best because you don’t have to hide the crazy. 🙂

    I went off-topic this week: https://fiftytwo.blog/2021/11/09/ttt-books-you-recommend-the-most/

    1. I love how inspiring both of those are!

  10. I think I relate the most to the last one, LOL. However, I enjoyed most of these, they are so true!

    1. Haha, same! 😉

  11. Great list! The House in the Cerulean Sea is wonderfully quotable.

    These are so amazing!

    1. Thanks, Sophie!

  13. I love that first quote. So true! It seems like my husband and I have that same discussion after every place we visit. It wouldn’t be the same if we lived there.

    Happy TTT!

    1. It is such a true quote indeed!

  14. Oh I’ve wanted to read Mhairi McFarland for a while ever since Don’t You Forget About Me! Yes to Chambers and Morgenstern as well.

Big Little Lies is a quote MACHINE.

    1. So true about Big Little Lies! Hope you’ll enjoy Mhairi McFarlane books.

    1. Thanks!

  16. I like that one about vacation. I have been thinking about the principle lately, in a insignificant way, as regards Christmas movies. I’m in a place now where it feels like there’s “too many.” Sure we used to want more, but honestly, the smaller number is part of what made them special. 🙂 Now they’re EVERYWHERE! Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland, Lindsey!

    1. You’re so right, Christmas movies seem to be everywhere lately and that may diminish the feeling a bit. Luckily I’m SUPER behind on Christmas movies as I only grew to love them recently, so I still have a lot to catch up on before I’ll start to feel like there’s too many 😀

  17. OMG, that quote about problems, assholes, and natural disasters is very true. I have that book on my TBR shelf, but I haven’t read it yet.

    1. Haha, I loved it so much when I heard it – hope you’ll enjoy the book when you get to it 🙂

  18. Marianne Maurer says:

Brilliant quotes, Lindsey. I love them all.

Thanks for visiting my TTT which shows readers on the covers.

    1. Thanks so much!
