10 (More) Songs For Your Halloween Playlist

20211026 Halloween Playlist

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday AND the most wonderful time of the year, Halloween!

I love Halloween so much I was even born on October 31st, so each year I get to celebrate my birthday AND Halloween at the same time!

A few years ago, I shared 10 songs for your Halloween playlist, and today I’m sharing 10 more songs! Just like with my previous post, I tried to include a big variety of genres, as well as some new songs and some classics. So check them out and get ready to get your Halloween party on! Happy listening and happy Halloween everybody!

Billie Eilish – Bury A Friend

This is such an eerie song, perfect for Halloween.

Bette Midler – I Put A Spell On You

Sure, the Creedence Clearwater Revival version is a classic, but I always see the Sanderson sisters in my head when I hear this song because Hocus Pocus will always be a classic too.

Twenty One Pilots – Heathens

Fun fact: even though it was not well received by most critics, I actually quite enjoyed the Suicide Squad movie. But also, this soundtrack song is so good and also fitting for Halloween!

Aqua – Halloween

Pure nineties poppy fun!

Rockwell – Somebody’s Watching Me

I ALWAYS FEEL LIKE SOMEBODY’S WATCHING ME… OHOHOH! Another classic.

Thriii – Calling All the Monsters (2021 Version) ft. Messenger

Because Disney can do fun Halloween songs too! This is a new version of the original 2021 China Anne McClain song and it’s super catchy.

Tommee Profitt – In The End (Mellen Gi Remix) feat Fleurie

I’m a huge Linkin Park fan, so I was very hesitant about listening to this cover of In The End, but I actually kind of like it, and I think it’s got a perfect Halloween vibe.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Heads Will Roll

OFF OFF OFF WITH YOUR HEAD! DANCE DANCE DANCE TIL YOU’RE DEAD! Another classic.

The Nightmare Before Christmas – This Is Halloween

It’s a classic, I had to include it!

Dreamcatcher – Scream

Why yes, I included a kpop song! Dreamcatcher’s overall horror/fantasy vibe is already perfectly suited for any Halloween playlist and then this song based on the Salem Witch Trials? It’s a must.

  8. How fun to have a Halloween birthday! The Rockwell song takes me back. Somebody’s Watching Me was so popular when I was in high school in the 80’s. 🙂

THe Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack is living in my head 24/7 anyways haha

    1. Haha, it’s definitely a great soundtrack to have in your head 24/7 though 🙂

  10. Ooh, love your choice of prompt today! As much as I don’t read or watch many spooky things I don’t listen to very spooky-ish songs either 😂 But I love Nightmare Before Christmas and was just singing that song while baking the other day!

    1. Nightmare Before Christmas is the perfect amount of spooky 🙂

  11. What a cool list! And I bet you have the BEST birthday parties.

  12. Somebody’s Watching Me is the perfect Halloween song. I’m singing it in my head now!

    1. Haha, once it’s stuck in my head, it stays there for the whole day usually 🙂

  13. Wow, you’ve just made me realize that while I’ve very low tolerance for horror movies or books, eerie songs are just what I love. My own rec for this fabulous playlist is Fever Ray’s Keep the Streets Empty for Me. Thanks for a great list!

    1. Haha I totally relate 🙂 I didn’t know that Fever Ray song, definitely need to check it out!

  14. I think “This is Halloween” and “Calling All the Monsters” are both classics! They are also the only two I know, LOL.

    1. They’re definitely classics 🙂

  15. Love your topic this week! I’d have to add Black Magic Woman by Fleetwood Mac, Creep by Radiohead and Season of the Witch by Lana Del Rey. 😀

    1. Ooh, those are great picks!

  16. Happy Birthday a few days early! My birthday was this past weekend and I also had a lot of Halloween-themed parties when I was a kid. So much fun. I love all of your song choices too, especially Rockwell, Bette Midler, and This is Halloween. I’d probably add Michael Jackson’s Thriller as well. 🙂

    1. Thanks so much! And happy belated birthday to you too! 🙂
Oh, Thriller is definitely a must on any Halloween playlist!

  17. masterspj says:

How ironic I came across this list as Thriller was playing on my playlist!

    Happy Birthday!
