Vampires, Druids & Sorceresses — 10 More Of My Fictional Character Crushes (Part 3)

20210831 Fictional Crushes

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s all about fictional crushes and boy, do I have a list for you! This is a list of characters from both books and tv but what they all have in common is that I adore all of these characters so much!Β

(Check out my previous fictional crushes lists: part one | part two)

Zak and Kit from The Guild Codex by Annette Marie

Is it possible to crush on every single character in a series? Picking just one was way too hard, so I compromised by picking two (and I’ll probably feature the other ones in later posts anyway). Zak and Kit are two of my most favorite characters throughout the series and yet they both seem so different: one’s a super broody and morally grey powerful druid and the other’s a funny, movie-quoting powerful MPD agent. And you know what, they’re even BETTER together!

Lyre from the Steel and Stone / Spell Weaver series by Annette Marie

Ah, one of my original Annette Marie baes. Lyre is an incubus, which means seduction is pretty much his weapon and yet he’s not just a handsome face – he’s also so kind and caring and funny and powerful even though he tries to hide it all behind a carefree faΓ§ade. Ahh, I love him so much and I want to read Steel and Stone and Spell Weaver again. Also, counting down the days till’ Blackfire!

Bones from The Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost

Another series with SO MANY CRUSHES, yet when it comes down to it, Bones is my original crush and will always be my number one. Part of it has to do with the fact that he reminded me a lot of Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer (another fictional crush of mine) but other than the resemblances, what I absolutely adore about Bones is his protectiveness and sheer adoration of Cat in this series. Total swoons.

Zoya from the King of Scars duology by Leigh Bardugo

Art by Kevin Wada

Ah, our storm witch. I wasn’t a huge fan of the haughty Zoya in the original Shadow and Bone trilogy, but then came the King of Scars duology and out came the heart eyes! And the tv show version only heightened my love of Zoya.

Commander Rip from The Plated Prisoner series by Raven Kennedy

One of my most recent crushes is Commander Rip from the Plated Prisoner series by Raven Kennedy. This fae with spikes is known as a brutal commander, yet he’s fair and kind and hiding secrets and I fell for him quite quickly.

Yennefer from The Witcher series

I know most people were raving about Henry Cavill as Geralt, but honestly, I never really cared much for him. Yennefer, though? I ADORE the powerful sorceress! So excited for season two!

Jesper from Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo / Shadow and Bone tv show

Art by Kevin Wada

While I liked Jesper in the Six of Crows books, I have to admit that my like only evolved into a full-blown crush after seeing Kit Young’s portrayal of Jesper in the Shadow and Bone TV show. He did amazing and I loved every Jesper scene so much.

Pamela Dawes from Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

Art by PhantomRin

I will always gravitate towards the quieter, more introverted characters because they kind of remind me of myself (does that make me narcissistic?) and Pamela Dawes is one of those characters. Though she’s quiet, she’s also super brave and loyal and I just love her so much and hope we’ll get a lot more of her in the next books.

Hades from the Lore Olympus webtoon

Art by Rachel Smythe

I recently fell in love with the Lore Olympus webtoon, a retelling of the Hades and Persephone myth, and while there are A LOT of characters I adore in this series (Hecate! Eros! Hera!) I can’t deny my love for the Lord of the Underworld, lover of puppies & Persephone and overall cinnamon role: Hades!

Cha Eun Ho from Romance Is A Bonus Book

Romance is a Bonus Book is my all-time favorite k-drama, and though I love it for many, many reasons (check out my review for all of them), one of the reasons is the character of Cha Eun Ho (played by Lee Jung Suk). He’s an editor, professor, writer and overall lover of books and if that isn’t enough already, he’s also just such an amazing and loving friend and I love that about him.
