10 Books & Series I Wish I Could Read Again for the First Time (Basically A List Of My All-Time Faves)

20210824 Books I Wish I Could Read Again For The First Time

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s all about books I wish I could read again for the first time, and isn’t that something we all wish, to be able to read our favorites again for the first time? Relive the books that completely hooked us, that gave us huge hangovers and maybe even changed our lives a little bit. These are the books that did that for me and I’d love to be able to read again for the first time just so I can experience it all again. (Well, 10 of them anyway – this list was A LOT bigger at first and I’m not sure how I did it, but I managed to trim it down to just these 10)

The Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost

I’ve only just discovered this series last year and finished the last book (in the original series, not the spin-offs) last month, and yet… And yet I already want to relive it all, as this was quite the addictive reading experience.

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson

Sentient books, badass librarians and sassy sorcerers. This book had everything I loved and yet it was still a surprise to me how much I ADORED this read.

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

So many Leigh Bardugo reads to choose from, but yet none of them have been the uber addictive reading experience that was Ninth House. I wouldn’t mind reliving that read and the shocking reveals again. Though preferably this time, with the sequel ready to start right after…

Shades of Magic by V.E. Schwab

This series was so magical and I wish I could fall in love with Red London for the first time again.

Red Winter series by Annette Marie

Honestly (and this is no surprise I’m sure), I ADORE every single Annette Marie series and want to re-read them all, but for the sake of this list I’m sticking to just one and then it’s definitely Red Winter, the Japanese mythology-inspired series that started it all and the love story between Shiro and Emi that still owns my heart to this day.

The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune

This book was like a shot of serotonin, like a warm hug and a ray of sunshine and who wouldn’t want to relive that for the first time?

The Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas

As with Annette Marie, I adore every SJM series so far, but Throne of Glass is the series that started it all and will always have a special spot in my heart. I wouldn’t mind going on Celaena’s journey and all her ups and downs with her once more.

Autoboyography by Christina Lauren

Once more, this is the Christina Lauren book that started my Christina Lauren love and still one of my favorites to this day, so I’d love to be able to read it again for the first time.

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

The Hating Game is pretty much my favorite rom-com out there. There’s something about the bookish setting and the enemies-to-lovers trope that just does it for me and I wish I could relive it all over again.

The Captive Prince series by C.S. Pacat

The first book is so graphic and violent and I’m still a little surprised I pushed through that but I’m happy I did because the slow burn enemies-to-lovers in this will always be my favorite. Damen and Laurent own my heart.
