Calendar Girls – November 2020 – Author’s Day – Fave Author

Calendar Girls

The Calendar Girls is a monthly blog event that was created by Melanie at MNBernard Books, and Flavia at Flavia the Bibliophile, and is now hosted by Flavia at Flavia the Bibliophile, Dani at Mousai Books and Adrienne at Darque Dreamer Reads. It was inspired by the 1961 classic song by Neil Sedaka and created to ignite fun bookish discussions among readers and bloggers.

So, just like the song, each month a new theme is chosen (participants will get to vote between two choices), and participating bloggers get to choose their favorite book within the theme, or the book they think best fits the theme, to talk about in a blog post on the first Monday of each month.

For today’s post, the theme and my selection are:

Author’s Day: Fave Author

WINNER:

Annette Marie

Is this really any surprise? I mean, I’ve been raving about Annette Marie’s books for years now and it’s not gonna get any less any time soon.

I think, if I’m counting correctly, that I’ve currently read 24 books by Annette Marie, which makes her my most-read author. Add to that the fact that I’ve rated every book at least 4 stars, and most books 5 stars, I’m pretty confident I can call her my favorite author.

I discovered Annette Marie through the Red Winter trilogy, which is based on Japanese mythology and features kitsune, yokai and more and I immediately fell in love.

I then quickly moved on to her urban fantasy series, starting with her debut series Steel and Stone and it’s sister trilogy Spell Weaver. And then I fell head over heels in love with her Guild Codex series: Spellbound, Demonized and the new Warped.

All of Annette’s books have amazing world building, well-developed characters and swoon-worthy romances with a perfect balance of action and emotion and I HIGHLY recommend them to all.
