Book Titles that Would Make Great Song Titles

20201110 Book Titles as Song Titles

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s another post mixing two of my favorites, books and music. I had so much fun with this topic, looking at different book titles and seeing which ones would make great song titles. I even found some so perfect, I already could imagine the music genre along with it! Check them out below and let me know whether you see the same genre for this titles as I do 🙂

  1. So. Fun. I love that you separated this into categories! 🙂 Makes it easier to imagine some of these – even though I don’t know what the books themselves are about, as actual songs.

    1. Thanks! Yes, I like how they all came together, they do seem to fit so well to me 🙂

  2. Make Up Break Up is fun. And yes to Radio Silence! Love that pick!

    1. Radio Silence just feels like such an atmospheric, moody song, I can already hear it in my head 🙂

  3. Great list! Spoiler Alert definitely sounds like it should be a pop song, and I could see someone like Nightwish releasing a song called Kingdom of the Wicked.

    1. Thanks! Spoiler Alert would be so fun and poppy and I could definitely see a Nightwish do Kingdom of the Wicked too 🙂

  4. I love how you categorized them! 🙂 And I can practically hear Yes No Maybe So as a catchy pop/punk song.

    1. Thanks! Yes, I can just imagine the song and even parts of a video clip in my head 😀

  5. These are all perfect! I love how they divided into genres and they all fit really well!

    1. Thanks so much! I’m glad they fit well, I spent way too long on this haha 😉

I swear I won’t cheat but Kingdom of the Wicked will be on my list too as I finished it today!

    1. Ah I haven’t read Kingdom of the Wicked yet, but it’s one of my most anticipated reads! Hope you enjoyed it 🙂

I sure like uplifting power pop. And it’s cool you divided everything by genre! If we get this topic again, I’ll do the same thing. 🙂

    My post.

    1. Uplifting power pop is the best for sure 🙂

  8. I love seeing this prompt pop up on more blog, and I just adore that you broke things up in categories. I agree on your choices, they fit so well!

    1. Thank, I’m happy you agree with my choices 🙂

  9. Oh my gosh I love these picks and I love that you’d done them by genre! Running With Lions sounds like it would definitely be on my mood lift playlist if it did exist. It also feels like it could be a great theme song for the FIFA World Cup (maybe for the English team or something hahaha)

    1. Oh yeah, that’s a good point, Running With Lions does sound like it’d be an amazing FIFA theme song!

  10. Ooh! What a fun post. Love the way these are categorized and also really enjoyed imagining the sound of these songs.

    1. Thanks, glad to hear you liked this post 🙂

  11. Love how you separated them all into different genres!

    1. Thanks! Oh going rogue is often twice as fun 😉

  13. Great post! I like how you separated them by genre styles. Heartstopper should definitely be a song if it’s not already. <3

    1. Thanks! Yes, Heartstopper feels very ‘real song’ to me to, so maybe it’s already out there somewhere 🙂

  14. I love all the choices you gave us here! Again, But Better wasn’t my favorite book, but I can see it as a song.

    1. Thanks! Yes, I agree about Again, But Better as I had some issues with it as well, but it does sound like a great song title 🙂

  15. I love that you sorted it by genre! I could totally imagine all of these as songs!

    1. Thanks, glad to hear you can imagine these as songs!

  16. Love that you broke it down genre. Loved reading your lists.

    1. Thanks so much! 🙂

  17. So many great choices here. They would all make great song titles and they all fit the categories you’ve assigned them to perfectly.

    1. This was such a fun post to do, glad you agree with my genre categories 🙂

  18. Wow, so many great picks up there!

    1. Thanks!

  19. Lauren Becker says:

Love that you shared the genres of music. I can totally see “technically, you started it” as a pop punk song. And “you should see me in a crown” is a billie eilish song right? I know it’s in her song, but I’m bad with titles. LOL

    1. Haha yes, You Should See Me In A Crown is definitely a Billie Eilish song! I can’t believe I didn’t even think of that one, oops 🙂

  20. I love that you approached this by classifying all of these! You Should See Me in a Crown is such a great title, whether for song or book or whatever.

    1. Indeed, I love You Should See Me In A Crown as a title!

Hi there Lindsey, wow! This was an excellent post. I especially like that you paired the books with music genres. Clever clever!

    Elza Reads

    1. Thanks so much!

  22. I love that you chose the genres to go with each one, too! What wonderful choices. I can definitely hear so many of these as a song, and I agree with your genre picks! I especially love How to Break an Undead Heart. Sounds like it’d be a super fun song!

    1. Thanks, glad you can ‘hear’ so many of these songs too 🙂 How To Break an Undead Heart would indeed be such a fun song!

  23. Marianne Maurer says:

Good list. I love Again but better and A Starless Sea.

    My TTT.
