Quote It Wednesday

Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde

Even though I’m currently 34 years old and technically an adult for a while already, I always feel a little bit like I’m not adulting right. Like, other adults definitely seem to have a better handle on the whole adulting thing than me and I’m just an imposter pretending to be an adult and hoping I don’t get found out any time soon. How about you?

  1. I FEEL this quote!

    1. It’s one of the most relatable quotes I ever read 🙂

    1. It is such a great quote, glad you love it!

  3. ADULTING IS SO HARD!

I attend a church full of upwardly mobile country-club goers that seem to have their whole lives figured out and everything put together. In contrast I feel like a teenager pretending to be an adult. When my car broke down on the way to VBS last year and I had to bow out of volunteering for the day their response was “Buying a car is always so hard” and I was like, “Always? Lady, I’ve never bought a car before and I had to call my mom to ask her what to do.”

    1. Haha, your story is definitely relatable! I’m still on my first car (which my now-husband went to buy with me), and the thought of having to buy another one already stresses me out. And then there are people switching cars every year or so, like how do they do it?
      Adulting is hard!
