The Authors I Love To Follow on Social Media {Top Ten Tuesday}

20200310 authors on social media

Hosted by The Broke & The Bookish

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Though there is a lot of debate about the power and of course responsibility of social media, I personally do love how it brings fans closer to their idols, be it musical artists, actors, athletes, politicians, authors, or any other kind of idol. I myself love following some of my favorite authors on social media, and this can be for several reasons: maybe I like the upcoming book updates, maybe I like their art, maybe I like their personality, or maybe I like all of the above.

For whatever reason, here are 8 of the authors I most love to follow on social media:

Annette Marie (Facebook Group)

I mean this is no surprise, right? I love following the Annette Marie facebook group, not only because Annette Marie regularly posts in there and gives us insights into her life, cover reveals, bookish aesthetics, her own art and even the occasional music post – it’s also fun to just follow the posts of other Annette Marie fans.

V.E. Schwab (Facebook)

I love following V.E. Schwab because she’s just so REAL and posts not only the good stuff, but also the bad. In doing so, she continuously motivates me.

Leigh Bardugo (Twitter)

I mean, I love getting book updates from one of my favorite authors, but I’m not gonna lie, I’m also loving all the Shadow and Bone Netflix adaptation news!

Adam Silvera (Twitter)

I love Adam Silvera – he just seems like such a down-to-earth nice guy online.

Alice Oseman (Twitter)

Loving all the art and Heartstopper updates!

Jay Kristoff (Twitter)

Maybe the longer I follow Jay on Twitter, the sooner I’ll actually pick up the second books in the Nevernight or Illuminae series, right?

Rick Riordan (Twitter)

PERCY JACKSON FOREVER! Also, love a diversity king.

Kat Cho (Twitter)

I started following Kat because of my excitement for her Wicked Fox  book release and I stayed because of her fun sense of humor and great taste in kdramas.
