Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s all about auto-buy authors and boy, do I have some auto-buy authors! Below are the authors I’d happily buy any book of because they have proven to me that I will enjoy pretty much anything they write. Side note: this doesn’t necessarily mean I’ve already read every single book they’ve written, only that I already read enough to know I’m planning to read ’em all.

Annette Marie

red-winter-by-annette-marie Chase The Dark by Annette Marie Three Mages and a Margarita by Annette Marie

Yes, we’re all extremely shocked at this revelation. Not 😉

Leigh Bardugo

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo

She won my heart with Nikolai and cemented it with the Dregs. I’m not going anywhere.

Sarah J. Maas

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas

I know she gets a lot of criticism which is not all unfair, but the truth is that I adored every single one of her books.

Adam Silvera

More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera history-is-all-you-left-me-by-adam-silvera They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera

Is it weird that this guy manages to make me ugly sob every single book and I still want more?

Christina Lauren

Autoboyography by Christina Lauren Roomies by Christina Lauren The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

Romance queens. I will never not want to read any of their books.

Madeline Miller

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller Circe by Madeline Miller

I will read Madeline Miller’s retellings as long as she’s willing to write them

C.S. Pacat

Captive Prince by C.S. Pacat  Fence 2 by C.S. Pacat and Johanna The Mad Fence #10 by C.S. Pacat and Johanna The Mad

Whether in novel or graphic novel format, I love it all.

Alice Oseman

Radio Silence by Alice Oseman I Was Born For This by Alice Oseman Heartstopper vol 1 by Alice Oseman

I was late to the Alice Oseman-train, but now I’m never getting off this train again.

V.E. Schwab

a-conjuring-of-light-by-v-e-schwab vicious-by-v-e-schwab City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab

When I get one of her books in my hands, I hold it in the air like Rafiki holds Simba. It’s a ritual and I’m not quitting that ritual.

Cassandra Clare

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

I thought I had enough Shadowhunter stories. The Dark Artifices came along and proved me wrong. I will read all the shadowhunter stories Cassandra wants to write.

  1. I keep wanting to buy more by Leigh Bardugo because I see so much hyper surrounding her novels, and I do want to read “Six of Crows,” but then I stop myself because I haven’t read anything by her.. just yet. I did recently pick up my first Christina Lauren novel though, and am hoping it’s fun! 🙂

    1. Haha there’s still time to read Leigh Bardugo – and a tv series coming out so maybe that’ll be the perfect incentive to read the books in preparation 😉 I hope you’ll enjoy Christina Lauren, I love them!!

  2. I am reading CIRCE right now. I am already considering reading her first book. My TTT list

    1. Ah I’m so happy you’re enjoying Circe! I DEFINITELY recommend The Song of Achilles, it’s one of my all-time favorites.

  3. I should have definitely had Adam Silvera on my list. He’s such an incredible writer.

    1. He is, I love his books, though he makes me cry too much haha 🙂

  4. Annette Marie is an author I want to try- those Three Mages books look so fun! Alice Oseman is an author I want to read more of- I really liked Radio Silence.

    Circe looks sooo good.

    1. The Three Mages books are definitely a lot of fun – I hope you’ll enjoy them when you get to them! Radio Silence was such an amazing book. And Circe exceeded all my expectations.

  5. Annette Marie being the first on your list does not surprise me. 😉 I read a short story by Adam Silvera and looked into one of his books and I don’t enjoy his writing style (and contemporary is already hard for me to read). However he does have a fantasy book coming out so I might give that a chance at some point.

    1. Haha I am so predictable when it comes to Annette Marie, but I don’t mind 😉 Adam Silvera definitely has a very specific writing style, it’ll be interesting to read his fantasy book for sure!

  6. Great list! Madeline Miller and Leigh Bardugo both made my list this week, too. I’ve heard such good things about Alice Oseman’s work that I need to give it a try, and I’m intrigued by Captive Prince, too, just because I’ve seen such mixed and heated reviews. Annette Marie’s another author I need to try, too!

    1. Miller and Bardugo are great! Captive Prince is definitely one of those series that people either love or hate – it’s very violent, but I fell in love with the characters so much. I’d definitely recommend Annette Marie, she’s my favorite 🙂

  7. I think I’ve been surprised to see how many people have Madeline Miller on their lists today.

    1. Especially since she’s only got the two books I think… but what two books they are <3

  8. I’m so with you on Adam Silvera and V.E. Schwab. I still need to read more by Alice Oseman!

    -Lauren

    1. Silvera and Schwab are amazing! I only recently discovered Alice Oseman, but I love her writing already 🙂

  9. I think I need to jump on the V. E. Schwab train. I still haven’t read any of her books but I want to! Great list 🙂

    1. Ah I hope you enjoy Schwab’s books when you get to them 🙂

  10. The Dark Artifices was also the reason why I still stick with Cassie’s Shadowhunter World. The LA Institute squad got me attached to them.

    – Chai @ Like Chai Tea

    1. Ahh the LA institute family owns my heart, best characters ever <3

  11. I haven’t gotten sick of all of Cassandra Clare’s Shadowhunter books either. They are so addicting and I cannot wait to read more. I actually have to catch up on reading a lot of her books since her books are growing in size and she releases so many books in a short amount of time. I have to share my love for reading with other books as well. Lol.

    1. Haha yeah I totally get it! We could be reading ONLY Clare books at the rate she’s going 🙂

  12. I’ve been wanting to read Christina Lauren for so long!

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

    1. I hope you enjoy their books when you get to them!

  13. Heh, I love your title.

It makes me wonder how the grocery lists of famous authors might really look? Do they stick to the list or add creative flair after writing down eggs or potatoes!? 😀

    1. Haha thanks! Yeah, the author grocery list is a mystery I want to solve 🙂

  14. Sarah J Maas and Cassandra Clare are also on my list! Great post!

  16. I completely agree with the grocery list sentiment!

    1. Haha, if they’d only let me read it just once… 😉
