Halloween Readathon 2017 TBR

How much do I love Halloween? Well, nobody explains it better than Sarah Anderson:

Sarah Andersen Comic

Comics by the amazing Sarah Andersen.

Needless to say, I’m obsessed with Halloween. I love it so much I decided to be born on it, so I could celebrate even more (#logic)

So given this obsession of mine with all things Halloween I’ve decided to once again participate in the Halloween Readathon. This readathon is organized by Lauren @ Wonderless Reviews and runs from October 10th until October 31st. The readathon focuses on trillers, horrors and paranormal books – basically perfect books to get in the Halloween spirit!

Here’s my TBR:

Note: I am in a huuge reading slump at the moment so I’m keeping this readathon SUPER casual. I tend to fail at readathons but I just couldn’t say no to this one, because HALLOWEEN <3

Stalking Jack The Ripper by Keri Maniscalco

Why is she playing with a knife? And looking away with that mean little smirk? I mean, I get the shivers looking at it… well, not really, but I still think it’s a slightly creepy, atmospheric cover so that counts, right?

Supernatural creatures galore in this fantasy series that I’ve been procrastinating FOR EVER.

So excited for this one!

No specific book, I’ll probably read most of these after sunset

Keeping this one open until I finish the three books above first.

Hah. Hahaha. I’m in a slump. Reading THREE books wil be the accomplishment of the year 🙂 In case I do read SEVEN books by Halloween, I’m hosting a giveaway 😉

scarymovie

I’m not picking one yet, but I’ll probably celebrate my birthday (did I mention it’s on Halloween?) with a scary movie marathon, yay!

THAT’S IT FOR MY (super casual) TBR! IF YOU WANT TO ALSO JOIN THE READATHON, PLEASE CHECK THIS LINK FOR MORE INFO!

  1. Aw, I’m so happy you’re taking part despite being in a slump Lindsey!!! I hope this helps you get out of it a little ♥ I’m currently reading There’s Someone Inside Your House and I’m hoping to get to Stalking Jack the Ripper too! ALSO I’M SUPER JEALOUS THAT YOUR BIRTHDAY IS ON HALLOWEEN.

    1. Of course, I don’t know how well I’ll do but I couldn’t say no to this readathon 🙂 Hopefully it’ll be just the boost I need! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on There’s Someone Inside Your House. Haha sorry, but I definitely prefer celebrating Halloween over my birthday though 🙂

  2. This sounds like a fun readathon! That’s so cool that your birthday is on Halloween, too! I hope the challenge gets you out of your slump and leads to a great birthday!

  3. I’ve been wanting to read Stalking Jack The Ripper for a while now but I’m still unsure about it. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it!

    1. I’ll definitely be reviewing it soon! (well, first I need to read it still of course) 😉

  4. Ooooh a readathon! I’d totally sign up, but I always fail miserably. I’ve really been wanting to read There’s Someone Inside Your House. I hope you love all of these! Good luck 😀

    1. Haha same here, but I just couldn’t say no to this one 😉 Thanks!

  5. We’re both reading there’s someone in your house! Yay! Good luck on your reading!!!

    1. Yay, can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it! Hope we’ll both love it 🙂 Good luck with the readathon too!

  6. Horror movies… yeah can’t watch those because I am such a scaredy cat! So I’ll be watching Hocus Pocus and The Nightmare Before Christmas. This is a great post though, thanks for sharing!

    Have a great weekend,

    1. Haha yeah me too! I always say I’ll watch a scary movie on Halloween, but in the end I will probably rewatch Hocus Pocus again myself 😉

  7. Oh that looks like fun! Enjoy!

Happy early birthday! What a fun day to be born on!

    1. Haha, thanks so much 🙂

  8. Good luck with your readathon! Hopefully it will be a reading slump buster and will get you back on track 🙂

    1. Thanks, I hope so too! I haven’t read all that much yet… but still over a week to go so anything can happen, haha 🙂

  9. Oh cool challenge! I’m in such a bad spot with reading right now that I am not doing read-a-thons or challenges ATM. I’m just reading and I’m trying to do a lot of ‘for me’ reading so I can kind of remember why I love this gig.

I do want to read Stalking Jack The Ripper and The Others series! Can’t wait to see what you think!

    1. Actually, what you’re doing sounds perfect to get out of a slump! I should give that a try really, because these readathons are NOT working, but I can also not say no when they sound like so much fun 🙂
