Hi, and welcome to the very first Top Ten Tuesday of 2017! Wishing you all a super happy new year filled with lots of bookish love, but also just all the good things in life
Today’s top 10 is all about looking forward to something new, namely all the amazing sounding debuts that will be released in 2017. Is it just me, or does 2017 sound like it will be absolutely bookishly amazing? SO. MANY. DELICIOUS. SOUNDING. BOOKS!
I am so looking forward to these books, so chances are you probably already heard me rave about them somewhere. But that’s okay, right? Let’s spread the love!
I think this is my NUMBER ONE most anticpated 2017 debut! I mean, this is about a spy school that trains these teens to become tropes. Their assignment is to get close to a girl and whoever doesn’t get the girl, dies. And then they end up falling for eachother instead? THIS SHIP, I AM ALREADY ON IT!
I’ve already read so many good ARC reviews of this one, my expectations are sky-high! It’s a tale of family, mystery, fantasy and a bit of romance – so of course I want to read this! It sounds absolutely amazing.
It’s a historical fantasy in which two boys roadtrip through Europe together and have to fight pirates AND their feelings for eachother along the way. Historical fantasy. Roadtrips. Pirates. FEELINGS. I’m looking forward to this one so much, it’s crazy!
A historical fantasy with lots of magic and a setting in Victorian Hungary? Color me intrigued.
Vengeance in space, guys! Vengeance in space! Also, I saw Adam Silvera describe it as Arya Stark in space. I love Adam Silvera. I love Arya Stark. I love vengeance plots. Space is just an added bonus, really. Also, how gorgeous is that cover? (I only just saw there’s a girl in the moon though… #blindasamole)
It’s a fairytale retelling with Labyrinth elements. There is a Goblin King (who I already casted as Tom Hiddleston. No idea why). It’s been described as dark and sexy. Color me intrigued.
This book was inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement and sounds like such a heartwrenching but real and necessary read. A must.
Honestly, the synopsis had me at pirates. Ok no, the title already had me at Pirate. This sounds like so much fun and I can’t wait!
A world where people with ice powers (called frostbloods) are in power and hunting down anyone with fire powers (firebloods)? Say no more, I’m in!
The idea of a teenage assassin who can kill with a kiss sounds kind of hit or miss, but I am intrigued! Also, it’s based on Indian folklore and already has some pretty good reviews so I’m in!
This fantasy dystopian set in England just sounds so dark and interesting, it immediately earned its’ spot on my TBR list!
