Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Booktubers

As hosted by The Broke & The Bookish

Top Ten TuesdayToday’s top ten tuesday is all about spreading the love! The idea was to tell you about my favourite bookish people to follow on social media, but there are so many amazing people out there that I decided to limit it to only one channel, being booktube!

booktubeWhy? I have a special love for booktube. There is just something about watching other people rave about books on video that warms my bookish heart. I am just as excited about new booktube videos as I am about new episodes of my favourite tv shows. I even regularly listen to booktube videos with my headphones on while I’m working. It just motivates me so much to listen to other people talking about books. It’s even what gave me the courage to finally start my own book blog.

So while I also love so many book bloggers and bookstagrammers, today I want to focus on my favourite booktubers:

abookutopia

Sasha from abookutopia has started it all for me. One day I had just finished reading Red Queen and my head was still reeling from that plot twist so I needed to hear someone else’s opinion on it. None of my friends had read it yet, so I turned to the internet. I went to youtube, looked up Red Queen Review and Sasha’s review popped up. I loved her fangirly passion, checked out her other videos and haven’t turned back since!

jessethereader

I love Jesse’s unapologetic enthusiasm for all things books related and I love that he reads a big variety of genres. His videos always cheer me up and he introduced me to the lovely book club that is Booksplosion, consisting of him and two of my other favourite booktubers: katytastic and polandbananasbooks.

katytastic

Kat’s humor is on point! I love her dry sarcastic humor and mix that with book fangirling and I’m a fan! If you’re an aspiring writer like her, you can also visit her channel for writing tips. Also, her book shelves are PERFECTION and book shelves goals.

polandbananasbooks

Christine’s channel is a combination of humoristic skits and books and it may sound weird at first, but it is comedy gold. Her videos are always loud, dynamic and hilarious!

peruseproject

Regan is a big fantasy lover, and that’s part of the reason I love her. Most of the books on my fantasy READ or TBR list are there because of her. So while you can always count on her for all your adult and young adult fantasy reviews and recommendations, that’s hardly the only genre she reads, so definitely check out her channel!

tashapolis

Natasha is the epitomy of the fangirl. She fangirls about books, but she also opens up the world to tv and movies. So you can go to her channel for both book and other fan related items, or you can check out her website thefantropolis.com. Keep calm and fangirl on!

benjaminoftomes

I love listening to other people talk about books, but if they talk about books in a British accentΒ  like Ben that’s even better! He also started his own publishing company so he’s kind of my hero.

Thoughtsontomes

You can always count on Sam of ThoughtsonTomes for great and fun videos. She has these really insightful booktalks, fun “Top 5 Wednesday” posts, and she shares my love of shipping so she definitely has one of my favourite channels!

Emmabooks

Emma has a great channel filled with reviews, hauls, wrapups, tags and much more good stuff. She’s also a big The Mortal Instruments fan, so you can also enjoy her videos on that such as her Shadowhunter tv show reviews.

readbyzoe

Zoe is also one of my favourite booknerds. You can count on her channel for a whole variety of book related videos and honest reviews on lots of different genres.

littlebookowl

Catriona of Little Book Owl loves books and owls, so I love her. I also love her honest book reviews and recommendations. Plus she’s Australian so she often has some good tips on Australian authors I might not know about otherwise.

sophiesseries

Sophie’s channel is slightly newer than the others in this list but it’s still full of great content! Make sure to check it out and have a nice cup of tea ready to sip while watching her videos.

These were my top ten twelve favourite booktubers. I know most of these are pretty much the most known booktubers out there, but I’d love to get to know more! Do you have any more booktuber recommendations for me? I’d love to expand my booktube horizons πŸ™‚
