Totally should have had a sequel

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. It’s a recent release so who knows? It could still happen. And I really, really would like to have some more Simon and Baz.

Totally should have gotten a spinoff series

The Grisha series. I know we have Six of Crows which is set in the same universe, but I would really like a Nikolai Lantsov spinoff series. He was my favorite character in the Grisha series and I would like to know more about him.

Author who should totally write more books

Stephenie Meyer. I mean, how long has it been since Twilight? And all we’ve gotten in the meantime is a new take on Twilight? Nope, not acceptable!

Character who should have ended up with someone else

Since we’re talking about Twilight anyway, please let me vent about this. I never really liked Edward. He was a creepy stalker guy who crept into Bella’s bedroom at night to watch her sleep. He wanted to kill her when he first met her. And to be with him she would have to give up her own life and family. While there was Jacob, the loyal friend who was always there for her wit whom she could be herself. So in my mind, Bella should have ended up with Jacob.

Totally should have ended differently

The Divergent series. I loved Divergent and Insurgent but then came Allegiant and I just did not like it. It was so slow, I didn’t get into the story and let’s not even talk about that ending!

Totally should have a movie franchise

The Under the Never Sky series by Veronica Rossi. I feel like these would be super movies and I thought they were optioned for a movie but then I never heard anything else about it.

Totally should have a TV show

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. I feel like this would be better as a TV show than as a movie and I would love the opportunity to watch Warner and Kenji banter on my TV screen every week.

Totally should have had only one POV

Normally I don’t really mind multiple POV’s as it allows you to really get a good sense of the story from different perspectives. The only instance where I did not like it was in Allegiant. I liked Four but for some reason I did not like his POV at all.

Totally should have had a cover change

The Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. I never read these books and that is honestly because they have such amazingly bad and cheesy covers. (and titles, but that’s another story). It has always stopped me from reading the series, even though I heard a lot of people say that it is a very good series.

Totally should have kept the original covers

I can’t really think of a specific example, but I do hate when they change a cover to a movie poster because the book was made into a movie. No, I don’t need that! I want to imagine the characters on my own, not see them on a poster constantly and have them forced upon me! And it messes up the collection if it’s a series. Just overall a big no.

Totally should have stopped at book one.

Matched by Ally Condie. I really liked Matched but book 2, Crossed, was just SO SLOW. And I never even read book 3 after that. They should have just made Matched a standalone.
